“Isn't she suppose to jump, dance and run around in jubilation?Isn't she supposed to kneel to thank the moon goddess? Then leave this pack she was dragged into as a captive and return to her pack with her people? Why, then, is she acting this way?” His heart wandered in deep thought but all the answer he could come up with, was just ‘that mating with Lincoln’ and that annoyed him so much that a frown, was covered on his face.It was as though, he was related to Quinn and needed her to do things that would make her happy And all he could place his finger on that would make her happy, was avenging her father’s death as he got to know about that when she came with that man to the hut, how all she wanted was to avenge for her father's death without a care if it was going to end the life of her mate. So to him, since the moon goddess had given her a wolf that was able to fight Lincoln till he got all that bruises and cuts he was seeing and in this unconscious state he was, she had the

Quinn found her legs, glued to the ground She was expecting maybe a Ritual or cleansing for Lincoln and not for her to accept him.She could say she had forgiven him or was trying to forgive him, but there were some setting processes she yearned to happen before becoming Lincoln’s mate, like having some deep conversation with Lincoln, staring into his eyes on their mating day to have at least a little clue of how he felt about her and a whole other things, but now, it all wasn’t going to come through Lincoln was close to death,His heart wasn't heaving up and down to signify he was alive, his body, had been in the same spot it was since she came in.And that was breaking her heart into tiny portions Zayne smiled, then shook his head He knew Quinn might have difficulty in accepting that, so that was why he had been quiet wanting to make sure she wasn't aware so that she would not end up forcing herself to wake Lincoln. Also, the presence of Liam and the guards were the reason he was

Liam shifted backward, praying in his heart that Quinn won’t shift into her wolf and tear him apart But On seeing her returned her attention to Lincoln, he decided to complete what he wanted to say before, besides, it was the truth. It was just that none of them, wanted to accept it.“Lincoln might not survive, so are you ready to become one with him even though he would never wake,” he said in one breath as he might not have the boldness to continue if Quinn gave him that glare again.Quinn felt a pang of pain in her chest, It was hard, that she didn't want to say anything, but she was also aware that she had to answer the question else, the mating ritual wouldn't be completed so with tears and catarrh dripping to her face, she responded “yes I am ready.I am ready to be by his side, I am ready to help him rule his pack whether he survives or not, but my heart's most desire is that he wakes”“By the power vested on me as the pack’s beta, I pronounce Lincoln Maverick and Quinn Jaxon a

On seeing that Zayne was leaving, Quinn called him “beta” Zayne stopped, his back was still turned to her as he didn't bother turning to face her and at the same time, didn't want to disobey her by acting as though he didn't hear her and walking away. The guards were around, so that wasn't a good act. “Luna” he said in a bid to inform her he was all ears on whatever she wanted to say“I am so sorry that I said all those things to you, I was just concerned about the alpha and that is all am sorry it will never happen again” Quinn, who noticed he was just standing because she was higher than him in the pack apologized. She couldn’t blame him, as she was aware that she allowed the situation of things to take control of her.And at that moment, She was so angry with herself for allowing emotions to cloud her mind“All the help Zayne has rendered to me, putting his life in danger for my sake, how could I have forgotten them” she bites her lips in regret. “This man left his pack house, and

The room was scattered beyond recognition as though there was a fight that took place in the room. But seeing her things still in the room, she took a few steps into the room. The wardrobe, has been pushed back, looking as though there was no hole, besides it.“This place needs cleaning.” she nodded, then walked out of the room. She instructed one of the guards at Lincoln's door to get the cleaners, which he rushed out to do instantly.Moments later, a few girls arrived with brooms, Dustpan, mops, and buckets that Quinn knew they were among the cleaners.“I need this room ready before nightfall, is that possible” She gazed at them “Yes, in less than two hours, we will be done” one of the cleaners, who Quinn assumed to be the leader or more experienced than the others, answered, gazing at the wall clock she said “It's a few minutes past noon so by three, you can be in the room” “Okay,” Quinn said before walking out, so they will do their work. She walked back to Lincoln's room, then
