Lahat ng Kabanata ng Elena (melting her hardened heart): Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

*FEW DAYS LATER*Elena got up and took a glass of water. She was feeling weak, sleepy and hungry. She couldn't leave the room because Ana had locked her In. She took out her phone and put a call across to Ana telling her she was hungry.Hearing that Elena was hungry, Ana called one of the workers of the restaurant, Melissa and gave her the responsibility of watching the restaurant in her absence.Ana packed some sandwiches in a foil before boarding a cab to go home. After arriving home, Ana went to the kitchen, took a bottle of orange juice and headed to the room where she'd left Elena. She entered the room and Elena welcomed her. She gave Elena the food and Elena ate hungrily while she patted her. After Elena finished with the food, Ana decided to go easy on Elena." Would you like to come with me to the restaurant?" Ana asked.Elena smiled from ear to ear happily.Seeing that she was smiling, Ana already knew her answer so she went to the wardrobe and took out a pink sleeveless top

Elena looked out of the truck a bit and saw that they were far from their house. She smiled, finally they were far from Alex and Scarlett." Mum, where are we going?" ELENA asked. It was obvious why she asked the question. When she was younger, Ana told her that her grandparents were dead so she knew they were not off to her grandparents. She knew her mother wouldn't be as foolish to go to Alex's siblings so she couldn't help but wonder where they were off to.Ana smiled, " you'll see soon"The truth be told, Ana did not know where they were headed. She had no idea of where they were going to be staying but she needed to keep her daughter and unborn baby away from Alex especially after she'd come to find out that Elena hated Alex. She stroke Elena's hair gently, she was willing to keep her daughter safe even if it meant she had to die. After what some like hours, the truck stopped. Elena stuck her head out and she realized that the driver had come to a tea stop." That's our queue"

Ana moved closer to the bed to get a closer look at Meg." Meg?" She called softly and Meg slowly opened her eyes." Ana?" " What have you done to yourself?" Ana asked in tears." She's gone Ana, Salish is gone" she sobbed and Ana could not help but pity her.She had also lost a child in the past after all." It's alright Meg, where there's a will, there's always a way" Ana said as she rubbed Meg's back. " Should I go get some water for you? " Jessica asked Elena" No thanks, I'm fine and besides, we made food, are you hungry?" Elena asked" My mum hasn't eaten in days. Do you think you could give her some? We don't have enough money so it'll mean a lot if you could give it to her" Jessica said." Of course, you love your mother a lot and I respect you for that" Elena said as she dropped the bag she was with and took out a cooler of food an handed it to Jessica. " This should do" she told her and Jessica took the cooler and immediately hugged Elena." Thank you very much, this means

" calm down mum, it's alright" Elena said as she rubbed Ana's feet. It was almost like she was in labour but it wasn't time for her to give birth. She had been feeling unending pain for days but the doctor told them there was nothing to worry about." Here Ana, have these pills" Jessica said as she handed the pills to Ana who took them. " Take a deep breath, it'll be fine" she assured her.Elena tucked her hair behind her ear as she watched her mum calm down after taking the pills. She took a blanket and tucked Ana in before giving her a peck on the forehead as Ana drifted to sleep." Thank you" she told Jessica. " What was that by the way?"" It was a pill Salish had bought while she was still working. It's a painkiller that works for anything and not to worry, it doesn't have any side effects" she said." If you say so" Elena said as she stared at Ana. Her mother had been through a lot and it was because of her father. They now had to live in hiding for fear that Alex might find the

" Ana!! Elena" Jessica screamed as she shook Meg who seemed to have given up the ghost or rather kicked the bucket." What's wrong Jess?" Elena asked as she rushed into the room with Ana." I don't know what's wrong with mum. She's not responding" Jessica cried " mum please wake up" she cried as she shook her.Ana rushed to Meg's side " Meg, Meg, you can't leave us like this. Please!! Wake up, you can't do this" Ana said as she shook her.Meg opened her eyes slowly, " A... Ana... Please take care of Jessica for me. Please treat her better than I could" she took Ana's hand and placed it in Jessica's. " Elena, come here" she beckoned. As Elena reached were she laid, she took her hand and placed it in Ana and Jessica's hand. " Y... You're now a family. I love you"" Mum, please, don't say this. Please!" Jessica cried." I.... I... L... Love y.... You" and with that, her hand fell, she'd given you the ghost. " Muuuuuuuuuum!! " Jessica screamed. She placed her head on Meg's chest to see i
