Chapter thirty one

Elena rolled on the bed groaning. The beating she'd received from Alex still hurt, she woke up crying.

" What's wrong Elena?" Ana asked as she left the clothes she was busy packing to attend to Elena.

" I hate him mum, I hate him" Elena cried as Ana patted her.

Ana felt pain in her heart seeing her daughter that way. She did not want such a life for her daughter.

When she was younger, she has dreamt of having two children, an older daughter and a younger son. She would play with them all day, her daughter would be a wonderful chef and when their dad comes home, he'll gift them chocolates and then at night they'll make love and go to bed.

Sadly, only two of those wishes came true; an older daughter who was a wonderful chef.

She sighed as she tucked her daughter in bed.

Ana went back to packing their bags. She selected a few clothes for herself and more for Elena. No more would her daughter suffer, she decided.

Once they got to the hospital, Jessica was rushed into the emergency ward and this placed both Elena and Daniel in a state of panic.Elena couldn’t withhold her tears at this point. You caused all of these and yet you stand there and ignore her?” Elena asked unbelievably as she returned her gaze to Jessica who was still laying on the ground.
