Chapter Eleven

Aden's POV"Let me go…""Or I'll kill you all"She made an awful screech the moment I blew garlic powder at her.She was calm at once, her vampire traits were making it difficult for us to control her. Her body was still not used to the changes taking place. It was obvious she was hungry for blood. It's been four days since we captured her from the woods. The rogue werewolf was also under captivity and apprehended in a cell. He has refused to say a word.Alpha Carl has decided to hold the interrogation today. We observed that Mary usually has a switch in personality. She becomes wild when her vampire instinct is dominant and she becomes more friendly when her wolf instinct is dominant. It was a battle between two powerful traits.Mary goes out of control whenever she craves blood. That was why she attacked us back in the woods, we met her in a wild state. Hunger! It's very possible the blood she might have gotten from her sister's body and other small animals she could find may not

Chapter Twelve

Kierra's POV "You should have stayed back" The stranger's words were ringing in my head. I needed to meet this man again. The sense of trying to figure out what he knew, what secrets were lurking around was eating me up. I knew I was special. My uncle always mentions it. But he warned me to try to be normal as best as possible. When I was eight I discovered I could lift a rock the size of our house with my bare hands. I could cause a tree to fall by just striking its trunk. I could run very fast and at eleven, shockingly I could absorb another wolf's energy making me even more powerful. Uncle said I have these powers because I am a Primordial werewolf. In fact, I am the last of them. He never spoke about my parents, he never told me how they both died. He only kept on emphasizing that I had to live like other werewolves. That I had to hide my powers. He didn't reveal much to me about them or the Primordials. At age eleven I was almost kidnapped at my old school. This was the

Chapter Thirteen

Aden's POVThe thought of a helpless Mary slain by the rogue wolf was something I wanted to erase from my memory.Although we didn't know what we were going to do with Mary after the Interrogation, it was certainly not to kill her.It was obvious the rogue we captured was scared of the Moonking. And he knew the consequences he will face if Mary was to spill more of what she knew. From his last words, before he killed himself, it looked like he was threatened. I think the pack of rogue werewolves were threatened. Probably they were told if she was found she should be killed and finished her off like the others before her. Logically thinking about how Moonking has been killing. I will say Moonking was cleaning up his mess. When he bit his victims, he decapitated them to prevent them from rising again. From all indications, it seems he wants to be the only hybrid. "What is he really scared of?" I thoughtHe doesn't let them go after the bite. This hybrid needs blood to survive, but

Kierra's POV"You look lovely," Aden complimented me. Aden pulled out a seat for me while I sat. I smiled at him appreciating his sweet gesture."Thank you," I replied AdenThe restaurant was huge, of course, and I knew he could afford it. But what quickly caught my attention was the silence. The restaurant was empty. "Where's everybody?" I asked. It was normal for me to ask Aden because I came in to see him sitting alone in the restaurant.''There wouldn't be anyone for the rest of the night" he replied "I paid for the place so you and I can have a peaceful and great dinner." He responded"Wow, it must have cost you a lot," I asked"It's nothing Kierra, I will pay any amount to make sure the time I spend with you isn't sabotaged by annoying external factors", he said grinningThere was a bottle of wine and two glasses on the table. He called on the waiter to serve us the best meal available on the menu because when he asked what I wanted to have, I didn't have any choice and he

Chapter Fifteen

Aden's POV I had already told Uncle Tim and Cassel about my plans of going to Kenvy to get more information about the murders. Cassel volunteered to go with me. In the last few weeks since Mary's episode, he has become more proactive. He was back to his former self. He finally accepted that staying at home frequently wasn't what was going to protect his family if danger ever came. But going into the field to stop whatever danger it was from ever coming close to Borgn was the best way at keeping them safe. I have tried to avoid Katrina as much as possible. What happened five days ago was something that still haunted me. It felt like I had cheated on Kierra. I know Kierra is nowhere to be found, she might even be dead since no one has mentioned seeing her anywhere. When the incident happened, Kierra was quite popular on the News channel. Her uncle and aunt's death, and the disappearance of Kierra and their housekeeper. The mystery behind the unfortunate incident still remains uns

Chapter Sixteen

Kierra's POVLove is indeed a beautiful thing. Aden was and is still the one my heart yearns for. I think of him, day and night. When I found out he went through a lot as well. It hurt me that I wasn't there for him to offer him emotional support. It was a miracle that he survived the fall, to become responsible for all of Kenvy after his father's death. His sweet words to me assured me he was a good leader, one who would make sure his followers were taken care of.I was seated in my office lost in thought. A knock brought my attention back to the present. I was a bit annoyed that whoever it was didn't want me to continue fantasizing about Aden."Come in" I answeredIt was Menessa. She walked in gracefully with a smile on her face. This lady was always happy and free-spirited. She was fun to be with. We were becoming fast friends."Hi Menessa, good morning. Hope you had a great night" I smiled "Yeah, Kierra. How are you today?""Never been better!" I exclaimed "I need to collect th

Aden's POV"Aden, haaah… haha. I can't believe this … that your brother has a woman in his life.""Seems your brother is really doing well. He even has time for love in the midst of all this chaos" Cassel spoke about Argon accusingly."That's none of my business because I didn't go to Kenvy to learn about his love life" I replied Cassel pretending not to feel bothered, but actually it hurt me to think that Argon who was the evil one had everything going well for him. He is currently the Alpha, he owns all our father's corporations, he is wealthy and now he has a woman in his life most probably his mate. While I the victim has a messed up life that knows no happiness for ten years, instead my life was filled with vengeance.I have been carefully planning all these years because I wanted to strike him where it hurts the most. Why I haven't faced Argon yet despite being healthy and putting my spies where needed was because a thought once crossed my mind some years ago.One day while I

Chapter Eighteen

Kierra's POVThe night was cold and chilly. It's 9 pm, and I decided to get some fresh air away from my new neighborhood.I had to make good use of this weekend.Walking through the City of Kenvy at night is beautiful and refreshing. Many were out to enjoy the moment with family and friends. It was nice seeing such an exchange of emotions between loved ones. They remind me of how alone I was, without a father, mother, no siblings, no one but Madam Ann and recently Aden who was back in my life. At least I should be grateful that life gave something back to me and this made me smile.I passed a bar on a busy street. One moment the bar was bustling with activity and wild noise coming from men who talked about a conquest of some sort… yeah I could hear them all.The next minute everything was in ruins as two men who had shifted into werewolves were attacking each other. I thought "Men and their animal instinct to rule over everything…" I left the scene in a hurry.Don't want to be caugh

Chapter Nineteen

Aden's POVAs I walked into the room, I found Alpha Carl seated and a few people in the room. The meeting was about to start, it seemed I was the one they were waiting for. I felt a lot of eyes on me. Like I had done something wrong."There you are, come sit here" Alpha Carl pointed to a seat at his right. Brad was sitting to his left. That cunning fox he calls a daughter was nowhere to be found. " The rest of you leave us, I want to speak to Brad and Aden"It looks like this was going to be a long meeting—a peacekeeping meeting."Brad I want you to know that as the Beta of the Park, you are also a leader. You do not pick fights and make your emotions get the best of you. What happened to talk to me about it before going to attack Aden." Alpha Carl complained."Alpha I didn't see the need to meet you because what I witnessed made me furious," Brad said"Interestingly, Katrina said nothing happened that day. She met me after you attacked Aden and told me everything that happened" Al

Chapter Twenty

Kierra's POV"What's this pretty lady doing here, the medics should rush over here," a woman said aloud as she passed by the lady I saved trying to check if she was still conscious.I didn't want to go into the hospital to avoid any questions and this one act could reveal my identity.I dropped the unconscious lady close to the entrance of the clinic while no one was watching. The people outside were fewer now, as it was already getting late. "She is in safe hands, Kierra," I said to myselfI walked back home, my thoughts were drawn to the person who killed the rogue I was questioning. I hadn't yet shifted into my human form so it will be hard for whoever it was to identify me in person. I just had to bet on this assumption. There is something dark going on in Kenvy. A group of rogues shouldn't make the inhabitants of the Kenvy live in fear. I was going to talk to Aden about this. I was almost home when I heard someone call my name."Kierra." A male voice called."You again," I as
