When I arrived, the hospital floor that held Logan was a mess. Doctors barked orders as they tried to knock him out with drugs, but he wouldn’t let anyone close to him. Not even Red.“V, thank goodness you’re here.” Melody said through pants. “He has gone mad.”“Stay here.” An order. “I don’t want you and the baby getting hurt. I’ll take care of this.”“Okay.” she agreed, wrapping her hands around her belly.A string of colorful words escaped my lips when Logan flung Hannah across the hall like she was a doll. I went over to where she was and helped her up.“Are you okay?”She nodded. “I’m fine.” She glanced at Logan. “I think that ichor has boosted his strength. He is unstoppable.”“Logan.” I heard Red say, with tears drifting down her cheeks. “Logan, stop. Please. You’re hurting everyone.”“Quiet!” he roared, shoving her aside when his eyes landed on me. “You,” He pointed in my direction. “I’ve been waiting for you.”“Logan, calm down.” I said, slowly advancing toward him. “You need

The sky had turned from a beautiful blue with white clouds to a reddish orange, signifying it was evening. As I drove to the hospital, thoughts about Zariya made a home in my mind. The fear of what she could do bugged me continuously, and I hated it. I shook my head to shake the thought off and concentrated on the road ahead. I’d hate to hit an animal or worse, a person.I parked the car and went into the hospital to check on Red and Logan. Red had refused to come home since what happened to Logan. She often slept in the hospital and Maya and Melody took turns in coming to stay with her and try to distract her from her worries. It was safe to say Ared was a mess.I entered Logan’s hospital room and shut the door behind me. As expected, Red rested her head on the bed whilst she held her mate’s hand. The sleeping position was uncomfortable even for me who was watching. I wondered if I should wake her up. I did not know if she had slept last night.I let her be and sat on one chair. Trut

Everything hurt. My body and my heart hurt. My heart was heavy with pain and guilt, whilst my body cried from pain. I’d done a lot more damage to Zariya, so why was I the one in an immense amount of pain? Still too tired to open my eyes, I focused on the sounds and scents around me. Everyone was here. Everyone including Aspro. I’d heard his voice, and he didn’t sound happy. “You let her near Valeria.” He said. I didn’t need to see Aspro to know he was mad. “You failed to protect her despite that being the only reason I asked you to come here.” “She didn’t want my help.” Mavros defended himself, his voice equally portraying anger at his brother’s words. “I couldn’t force her to hide behind me. She is a queen, brother. She can make her own decisions. Valeria knew what she was walking into when she agreed to fight with Zariya. I am not to blame.” “You still failed.” “Stop blaming me.” Mavros hit something and it rang in my ears, adding to my headache. “I didn’t come here because you

MAVROS’ POINT OF VIEW My brother had succeeded in ruining everything and there was absolutely nothing I could do because she refused to listen to me. She did not want to hear my side of the story, which led me to believe she believed my brother more than me. She trusted Aspro more than me because, well; I was always the bad guy. I had done nothing but hurt her, even when I was just doing my job as a god of destruction.Aspro was always the good guy, so she would believe anything that came out of his mouth. I was the awful one who would always be perceived as a liar and a murderer. Might as well live up to what she saw me as.After she left, I teleported myself to the eye of Irithra. I was on a mission there before I returned to check on the woman who never trusted me. The council asked me to get rid of the Irithra ruler, a ruthless half moonwalker, half demon, Zeyra Moon, since her reign was over. Torturing and killing her would help ease the stress I was feeling.“Let me

I felt a mix of emotions. Sadness and happiness. I was happy because my best friend had been delivered of a beautiful baby boy. Yes, a boy. Turned out Melody was right about her child’s gender. They named him Dimitri because, according to her, her son reminded her of my brother. Zayne’s middle name was Dimitri. I was sad because I gave in to what Zariya wanted. What I desperately wanted to avoid happened. I had sex with Aspro. In all honesty, I hoped I was barren now. I didn’t want to get pregnant and die after giving birth. “V,” Carter poked his head into my room. “Can we talk?” “Come in.” He came into the room, sat beside me on the bed and intertwined his fingers. “I’m sorry.” He began, “I’m sorry I was an ass to you at the hospital because after what happened yesterday, I realized I was foolish. I came to realize you wouldn’t put Melody in harm’s way. Forgive me for the things I said. It was wrong of me.” I shook my head. “I’m not mad. You said the things yo
