Days rolled into weeks, and weeks into months. Silas continues to struggle with his inner demons and every full moon was torture to him as the curse becomes more and more unbearable for him. He had his buddy, Finn by his side at all times. Full moon to him meant, excruciating pain as he would be always poisoned and wounded till he’s an inch closer to death so that before the inner beast would morph and attained power at climax, the night would have been over. But it seemed as though the beast itself is learning to adapt to the pain and recover quickly from the poison as time went by. Last month, Finn had to set more traps and fire arrows laced with wolfs bane to make sure beast Silas did not enter within fifty miles close to the kingdom. They were already getting out of ideas as to how to stop him from attacking the kingdom. Neighbouring villages had already started carrying out rumors that howls louder than that of a normal werewolf has been heard and many of the villages have alrea

SILAS'S POV"What the heck are you talking about"I asked, angrily."What do you mean by what the heck am I talking about? Did you not inquire about this sacred forest before embarking on such a dangerous quest? The implication of going into the forest of Koda is that you can never escape here. It's impossible."Lucien stressed."Why is that?"Saul became the calm one amongst the both of us."Will you care to sit down and learn a little bit of our history?"Heracles asked."Well, I don't see any reason we can't do that. You have literally given us no other choice than to sit down here since we are not going anywhere."I replied.I sat down beside Saul as Lucien, the leader of the sabre toothed sages began to relate."More than five centuries ago, during the time of the great chaos, there was a lot of disorder in the supernatural world. Witches and sorcerers were so knowledgeable and corrupt that they misused and abused the forces of nature. They bent the elements to their will and made

SILAS'S POV"Wait! I'm not done with you!"I called back bravely and this time he turned to look at me."If you really want me to be committed, you will do this one thing for me, will you?"I said."Young wolf, you are in no position to make requests."Lucien stressed."I know, but you will hear me out still."I insisted."Okay."He replied."What do you have to say?"He asked."I want to know what the witches meant when they said that I am the key to their dominating to the top of the predators. I want to know what is in me."I replied."We already said that you need to forget about it."Lucien said."I know what you said and I may not be a three eyed freak like you sages, but I know that you don't really agree to that decision. That's why you will tell me what it it. I will not relax if I don't know what it is."I said.Lucien took a good look at me and breathed deeply. I was fully persuaded that I won't be able to do anything without knowing what the heck is going on."Okay, young

SARA'S POV"Why do I get the feeling that this is about Silas?"His expression changed and I can no longer recognise my father."I…."I stammered. I did not know what to say."Go on with it."Father encouraged me."I just wanted to know your stand with mother. You don't seem to really love her. Haven't you ever been in love?"I asked him.He breathed deeply and sighed. It's as though I brought back a bad memory to him."Sara, I have once loved. There was a wolf I loved with my entire heart. Sadly, our love was not permitted because it is not the standard of our kingdom to marry wolves that are not nobles. So, we didn't work out."Father said."And you married Luna Veronica. And where is this she wolf you wanted to marry?"I asked, full of inquisition."She's not around anymore."He said, sadly."Really? Where did she go to?"I continued probing but by this time, father has had it already."Enough of the chit chat. There is no need to talk about this. You were here for something, what

SILAS POV"I need to leave here, Mark."I spoke to the sage after one week."What? Why? You have not completed your task."He said."I have been in this tower for over six weeks. I need to stretch my legs. I have consumed more than a hundred materials too. I'm getting overwhelmed with all this. Let me go."It sounded as though I was begging him."It's okay then. We will have a day of break and we will come back the next day."He said.It wasn't near enough, but I will take it.We left the place and I could appreciate the little rays of sun that was able to filter into the forest. I was already becoming accustomed to this place."Where is Saul at?"I asked."He must be with the mages. The ones that are more interested in combat than the dark arts."Mark replied."I want to see him."I said to him,"I don't think it's a good idea. You need to complete your training."He advised."I need to see him."I stressed further. We left for where Saul was.I saw him having a combat lesson with so
