RubyHow is this even possible, how? I didn't want a mate, not ever, but not now. How can I have three, it's so absurd. I run away from the three men as fast as my legs can carry me. I can feel them behind me, their scents doesn't leave my nostrils. It doesn't take much time, the trio catches up with me. It’s like they took no effort to run after me. I stand rooted on the ground gathering courage."What do you want from me?" I ask rage boiling up inside me."You" They say in unison throwing daggers at each other. What’s this goddess, why am I the one in the middle of all this."Leave me alone alright." I speak. But who am I kidding, the pull I am experiencing is so intense. By having them just inches away from me just made me want to pounce on them.I start walking backwards away from them, I didn't know how to react at that moment. "Please don't run away from me, I am your mate." One of them speaks. I suddenly hear a growl. "She is mine." One of them lunges forward. I duck, hiding

I couldn't sleep, I kept thinking of why my mum was horrified that I was mated to three men. I also kept wondering how I would be able to handle them all. Part of me was really afraid and part of me couldn't really believe that all the three gorgeous and powerful men were all mine. Owen, Damien and Rowan, perfect names, perfect everything. I mean, the moon goddess must have taken extra time to create them because they aren’t just cute, they are perfect. What I don't know is their personalities though. Owen has the most deep ruby eyes I have ever seen. He has this dead look in his eyes that makes him look fierce yet sexy at the same time. His hair is pitch black, and so long. He wears it wavy, and I have seen it in a ponytail; it all looks divine. He is so tall compared to the three of them, and also the hugest of them. If ‘hugest’ is ever a word. I just cannot find the right words to describe him. He has these muscles that he doesn’t even sweat to show them off, they are just there.

RubyWhat do I do now? This is the reason why I didn't want any man. Now, who gives him a reason to behave like that with me? He doesn't know who I am completely. What do I do? I remember, I once took classes in drama, Zama always used to say that I was a good actress. I am going to give him one, he'll of an act that is going to make me get out of this place. I start coughing loudly before he goes further away. I want to capture his attention. I cough as loud as possible and when I hear his footsteps approaching, I start clutching my stomach and making disturbed noises. “Ruby what's wrong.” He comes in rushing beside me and scoops me in his arms running outside and screaming orders to someone I can't even see. By now my eyes are closed partially. I scan my surroundings, it seems where I was kept, it is pretty far from where he is running to. There is a dimly lit corridor which leads to the room I was in. It's like I was a prisoner or something. “Open the gate.” He shouts when he

Ruby’s POVI get to the park earlier than I had intended, I couldn’t wait to see my three gorgeous men. I still don’t know what I am going to talk to them about. All I want is to just see them, maybe this ache in my heart will go away. Surprisingly, they are all here, and they seem to be in a heated argument which stops the moment they spot me. They all stand up pretending to be quiet except Owen, who doesn’t even seem to care. Why does his rebellious nature seem to turn me on? Part of me wants to rush into his arms. He turns to look at me and I see his face light up a little. I guess he read my mind. However, I feel the same way when Damien offers his hand politely, so I can sit down. And Rowan hands me a bottle of water, I don’t even know how he knew I was thirsty after walking all the way here. I take a seat on the bench beside Owen, Rowan sits next to me and Damien kneels before me taking my hand in his. Every contact with them makes me want more, I am afraid if we don't fin

Ruby’s POV “Ruby.” He looks at me with his ruby eyes, there is something behind them, something I have never seen before. He looks vulnerable, he looks broken, and it's like he has given up. It's so unlike him. “Owen, please don't.” I know he knows what is running in my mind. “But you have already made a choice, beautiful. I have resigned my fate, baby.” He tilts his head sideways and shrugs. “What do you mean?” I ask, wrapping my hands around his neck. “Don't do that baby, you know it really hurt me when you chose Rowan over me, I thought you wanted me more.” He says, I feel how sad he is. “I thought you were going to choose me, you were all that I wanted, you are the person who can save me Ruby, I might sound selfish, but I don't want to be reduced to nothing.” He smiles feebly. “What do you mean by save, Owen.” I ask. “It doesn't matter, seeing you earlier on the verge of death, made me realize that you are the most important person in my life and that your safety and hap
