“Jordan? Aren’t you coming out of your room today either? You have been indoors the whole time you have been here, we barely even see you, except you want to eat and you don't talk to us either, I am honestly so worried about you son, can you talk to me already? We used to be friends,"His mom said while knocking on his door, she was exaggerating. Of course, he has been out of the house a couple of times in the last couple of days, he just didn’t stay out long and spent most of the time in his room alone, he felt guilty for not at least engaging them in talks or even sitting with them but he couldn't help it, he just wanted to be on his own, she kept banging on his door, he rolled his eyes, she damn well knew it wasn't locked.“Mom, stop banging on my door and just open it, it’s not like it is locked!”He yelled and she opened the door and walked into his room, she walked close to his bed and stood over him.“It’s New Year’s Eve, aren’t you going to time square? You use to go there ev

“Dude, you didn’t tell me you won’t show up after Christmas Eve! It’s been over a week since we last saw each other,”Mark accused. Liam turned back to see his friend and let out a nervous laugh, he knew he would be in trouble with Mark after he didn’t call or show up, it was already three days after the new year and he finally decided to come back home today after spending more than a week at his parent’s house.“I'm sorry, I just had a lot going on and I wanted to bond with my parents,”He lied, he didn’t bond with his parents at all, far from it, no bonding happened, the only thing that happened was them scolding him nonstop and his mom constantly reminding him that he would regret it if he finally remembers, now he wished he would just remember everything so that they could all just be at peace, his mom made it a point to tell him that he was at fault ever seconds of the day, normally before, he would have just angrily left but things were different now, he found out that he misse

When Jordan had let his mom talk him into leaving the house earlier today, he never thought he would run into Liam of all people, and neither did he think Liam would be with Mark, he couldn’t help the surge of jealousy that shot through him, the temporary kind peace he found when he had walked into the bar a little while ago washed away completely, he stood up.“I knew it was you, oh my God, good to see you here, I found out you were in town from this dude,”Mark said pointing at Liam, all Jordan could notice was that they were wearing matching outfits, both had on white sleeve shirts and the same pair of black trousers, something Liam has never done with him.“Yes, I came in for Christmas,”“So I heard, it is so good to see you Jordan, it’s been a while,”“Good to see you too Mark, how have you been?”He asked, taking Mark’s hand that he offered.“I have been good bro, what about you?”“Good too,”Jordan responded.“Can we sit with you? I brought him here to have a drink since he was

“You know, you guys would have made up if you had just followed him and talked to him that at, he looked like he was ready to listen but you were just too prideful to do the needful, I told you to not let him go,”Mark said a thousand times, the same thing he has been saying for four straight days now, he wasn’t even letting him breathe, now he regretted agreeing to be his buddy through his break-up phase, the man wasn’t even dealing with his heartbreak but was all over him about Jordan.Mark had insisted that he run after Jordan when they had met him at the bar that day but he saw no point in it, there was nothing he wanted to say to the man, except to kiss him again and that was a big no, he knew if he did, Jordan would definitely slap him.He had an annoyed look throughout their conversation and never once looked in his direction, he could have sworn that he was cursing at him in his mind, so when Mark had suggested that he go talk to him, he had said a straight no and told him he

"Jordan, the guys are having a night out, do you wanna hang out since it is the weekend?"His coworker Reid asked, Jordan looked up from his system and smiled at him."I would love to, when is it happening?"He asked as he continued typing."Later, after work, at the usual bar,""Sure, thanks for the invite,"Jordan said and Reid waved at him, it has been three weeks since he got back to California and this time, he was doing a pretty good job, he made new friends already and was having a fun time working here compared to last year, his life was going smoothly and he was thankful for the small victory he had achieved so far.On some occasions when he was at his lowest, he still felt sad and disappointed but now, he was able to snap out of it on time, and just focus on the good part of life. After work, he drove to the little bar downtown where he and the guys usually the four of them and Cynthia, always hang out, they were already there before him, he said hello to them and sat down n
