KEHLANI POV "What do you mean something urgent came up and you had to leave her alone. You made the same excuse last week... Are you even sure she has been adhering to the doctor's rules" Rose yelled and I winced because the aggravating sound of her voice was like sandpaper scratching my eardrums? She was pissed and she had every right to be but I wasn't going to apologize for needing a break. I was already sacrificing a lot for them, so I didn't understand why she had to be so hostile. "I had to take care of my business," I got out calmly when all I wanted to do was yell in her face that she had no right to speak to me as if I was her servant. For God's sake, I was doing them a favor that could land me in jail if it ever got discovered. Just because they'd helped me and my family, I had to be in servitude to them for the rest of my life. It was a load of bullcrap. Rose scoffed, then threw the pictures she held at my face. My heart burned, my lips trembled and I struggled to remain

THE EAGAN'S MANSION "What the hell do you know mean Sybil is missing" Rose shrieked, her heart thudding wildly against her ribcage. "I should be asking you that. You said you had this under control and that Kehlani was watching over her" her husband yelled, then stopped to glare at her. "I can not believe the level of your carelessness. It has been a whole freaking week and we're just finding out now, all because of the doctor's scheduled visits!"Rose couldn't believe it, and she couldn't help her mind going back to the last conversation she had with Kehlani. No, it wasn't her. She couldn't have done it. Not after all the threat to take her life if she ever went against their order. "Kehlani gave me her word! I even threatened to kill her if she betrayed us and she got on her knees and begged...""And will that help our situation now!" He thundered, then roared before punching at the wooden sculpture that stood closest to him. "Do you have any idea what would happen if Sybil were

SYBIL EAGAN POV "No! Don't. Ugh," I screamed as Dian splashed a huge amount of water in my direction. The pellets hit me in the face, blinding me and I spluttered, wiping my face so that I could see again. I frowned at him and he just threw his head back, laughing. The naughty twinkle in his eyes made my insides feel funny. "That's so not fair. You're stronger than me" I told him and he just laughed again. "You could always get your revenge by splashing right back". "That's what earned me the last one" I yelled indignantly and he grinned as he swam closer to me. "You're so cute when you are pissed," he said, then bopped my nose and I smiled as we stared into each other's eyes. My heart thudded, almost painfully as I waited for him to lean in and kiss me. He pulled back instead and I couldn't help the ugly feeling that unfurled in the pit of my stomach. "Let's get you out of the water.. I do not want you getting sick". I scoffed, pushing out of his arms, then waddled my way to

KEHLANI POVRose was looking for me. I could feel it in my bones and I knew it wouldn't be long before she found me. Eunso was already complaining about having to help me keep eyes on my company, and she'd sent a recent email to the new laptop I acquired that she would be going on vacation soon.I was also running out of money but I knew if I so much as used my credit or debit card, they would find me in the blink of an eye.I didn't know what to do. I didn't have many friends that I trusted. Rose could get them to do anything she wanted just by offering them money.I hoped Sybil was safe wherever she was, because if she was dead then that would be a disaster.I got up from the chair and walked to the mini bar and poured myself a drink. Gulping down the content does not quite take the edge off and I ended up pacing the length of the room."What the hell do I do now huh... If I keep staying here, I am going to starve to death. I can't believe I got myself involved in all this. I should

SYBIL EAGAN POV."I really want to surprise him, but I don't know what to do," I told the only friend- Kayla- I'd made who could speak English fluently. She'd been helping me with cleaning and she was so nice to be around, I found myself sharing with her some of the things that bothered me. "When will he be back?" She asked, almost conspiratorially and I laughed."Tonight. He promised to get me a painting. The truth is..." I paused, not knowing how to word my thoughts, but Kayla urged me on with her eyes. "You can tell me anything Sybil. You never know, I might be able to help".Inhaling shakily, I turned to face her and a worried look entered her gaze, probably from the tension she perceived rolling off me in waves. "Well, since I and Dian got here, we haven't... We haven't been intimate..." I rushed out and Kayla's eyes widened."What! Aren't you two husband and wife?" I wanted to tell her we were not, but I just nodded along because I loved that she would think that Dian and I
