The Mafia Lord wants his baby back のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

Chapter 22Connor left Kelvin within the dungeons for a few days with barely any food and water. He knew what he was doing, leaving him there would give him a reflection of what he had done which will no doubt have him spilling the truth faster than he can say his name. There were many things Connor wanted to talk to him about but he was ready to wait, ready to be patient in getting what he wanted from those who thought that it was wise to keep his child away from him."When do you plan on talking to him?" Russo asked, walking into the room.Connor sighed, placing his phone on the table as he stared at the ceiling as if looking for the answers to the questions running through his mind. Never in his life would he ever have envisioned that this was how his life was going to turn out but as it stood, he knew he couldn't dwell on it because it wouldn't take him anywhere but just give him so much heartache and pain, one that he might not be able to recover from if he kept on dwelling on it

Chapter 24Annah stared at the window with tears welling up in her eyes. She had been like this for a long time and the worst part of it all was that she didn't even know what she was crying about. It was probably the depressing state she was in or the way Connor had treated her and she knew it had to be one of the two. Never in her life had she ever been in a very sad state, without seeing any of her friends, her family and the people who actually mattered to her. It was all a whirlwind of depression, sadness and torment. She had no idea how she was going to go through it all but one thing she knew was that she would never give up.A small knock alerted her to the door and as she tried to dry her eyes quickly, Connor walked in with a tray of food."I'm not hungry, the maid already fed me." she snapped.Annah didn't think that she would ever forgive him for what he had done to her. He had scarred her for life and he wasn't even sorry about it, instead, just going on about like nothing

Chapter 26It felt like Connor heard something different after Russo said those words. Poison? He couldn't understand what he was saying. How on earth could she be poisoned when he was the one practically giving her food to eat."I… i don't understand." Connor murmured. He staggered back, hardly believing what Russo just said. There was nothing he could think about that could point him to how exactly she was poisoned. Everything was a dream to him now, a very bad dream he desperately wanted to wake up from."I really don't know how this happened but it has to be from her food or a drink. Besides you, who else brings her food?" he asked.Connor thought hard about this and he had no idea who was responsible for this. No name was coming to mind except his maids."Except the maids, no one else comes to mind." Connor said.He stared at Annah, her breathing coming in shallow gasps now. All he was seeing now was a nightmare, a nightmare he desperately wanted to wake up from."Then we need to

Chapter 28"Mommy, mommy."The childs' voice echoed loudly in her ears as she struggled to wake up. Still, she couldn't get a grip of herself because it just seemed like everytime she tried, the child's voice drew her back, making sure that she didn't go anywhere. It was suffocating and also very sad and she hated feeling this way."No, I'm a baby. Please, hold on for mommy," she screamed. She thrashed on the bed, not caring if she hit anyone beside her or not. All she was really after was her redemption, an end to this emotional torture she was facing. Finally, the noises stopped and everything was silent within her head.Slowly but with fear in her heart, Annah opened her eyes to see Connor and Russo looking down at her with fear also in their eyes.It was one thing to be scared and another thing for the people who are caring for you to also be scared. She didn't know what was happening but one thing she knew was that she had to snap out of whatever was going on. She had a bad dream

Chapter 30"Kelvin is dead." Connor said as he walked into Russo home office. He didn't need to say it with so much emotion because of what Kelvin had done in the past. Thinking about it now, he realized that his friend wasn't deserving of love anymore because real friends would never sell you out as he did. It was wrong, very wrong."I see… Well, we have one less problem to handle." Russo said.Ever since Connor and Kelvin formed their bond, he had never liked him for one day because he saw him as a fraud and a cheat and even in times when he pretended to like Connor, Russo had always seen the fraud in him. He never believed him for one day and he was only too glad that he had finally died."I've sent my men a citywide APB on her. Trust me, she wouldn't have nowhere to run to." Connor vowed. If he had to use all of his resources to find her, he would because his child was in her possession and he wouldn't rest until he recovers his son."I've just been with Annah, she still doesn't
