Connor's heart pounded in his chest as he sprinted back to Annah's room, his mind racing with worry and fear. The sound of gunshots still echoed in his ears, a loud reminder of the chaos that had erupted within his once-peaceful mansion. He burst through the door, relief flooding his senses as he saw Annah standing there, her eyes wide with fear and confusion.

"Annah!" Connor exclaimed, breathless but overjoyed. He hurried towards her, taking in her trembling form and the disheveled state of her room. "Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

Annah looked up at him, her voice quivering with fear. "Connor, is Kelvin... is he here? Did he make it inside the mansion? Did he hurt people within?'' she asked with fear in her voice.

At that moment, she didn't even care about the history between them. At this point, she was just happy that he was alive and she was too. She didn't even want to think about what would have happened if Kelvin had gained entrance into the mansion or to her room
