Kristen's POV"You must be out of your mind," it's my time to chuckle."I mean every word, Kristen. Every fucking word," Theodore holds onto the iron bars and stares at me with pleading gray eyes. Eyes that are enough to make me sick. Because I hate the fact that he's affecting me deeply, that we share a connection I never wanted in the first place."How dare you?" I am close enough to yell, but my brain aches so bad that I can't. Now, I am starting to think that I am in the wrong for coming here. Had I known, I would have listened to Doctor Melbourne, taken my medications, and rest like the injured patient that I am."You know I am married to Calhoun, and I have his son," I continue talking by stating the obvious."You can bring the little boy along with you, I'll take care of him as my own," Theodore says softly. And this is close enough to drive me insane."Can you even hear yourself, Theodore? Asking the Greyhound Luna to elope with you, along with her son?" I cast him an incredul

Calhoun's POV"To think he broke out of this cell," my beta still looks terrified from where he's standing at my side. And I ground my teeth until my jaw begins to hurt as I continue staring at the cell where Theodore had been confined in, a few hours ago."His wolf must be a beast because it takes a lot of strength to do this," Bruce shifts his gaze to the vandalized iron bars on the floor, "Theodore is no ordinary wolf, Calhoun. It's unbelievable to remember how calm he was when you ordered your men to lock. He knew he would escape, that's why he let them lead him away."Leaving my mansion a few hours ago, I didn't know I would be confronted with such horror upon returning home. Kristen sneaked out of her room to meet him in this dungeon, all by herself. Whatever discussion they had, is something I am eager to know because I can feel it in my guts that something is happening between the two of them. And I am a big fat fool because I trusted her too much to confront her."Find him

Kristen’s POVReluctantly, I leave my seat because I cannot say no to Calhoun, or else he will be suspicious. I should be grateful he didn’t ask the man to take his mask off because Theodore will quickly oblige and even state that I am his mate. But on the other hand, I hope this man is not trying to play games with me and my husband, because he’s not even afraid of Calhoun at all. And it’s clear he has an ulterior motive.Placing one unsteady footstep after the other, I walk until I reach Theodore’s side. His height is intimidating of course, and he still has that deep and rich herbaceous smell, something which my nostrils fancy, just because he’s my frigging second mate. The stupid connection is effective on me, and upon seeing how Theodore is staring at me with so much yearning and desperation in his gray eyes, I can feel vomit climbing up to my throat.Stay calm, it will be over before you know it. I assure myself with these words and harden my jaw, just like Calhoun does when he

Calhoun's POVAnd true to my predictions, the masked man wins the race. It was clear he'd win, right from the way he even began it all. Effortlessly passed through stages, except for the swimming part where he came out last. But he still won in the end.I am still flabbergasted at the sight of his wolf earlier because I can't recall the last time I saw such a huge wolf. It was big and over six feet tall. Something which struck fear in the hearts of men and women, because of how fearful it looked. And I doubt anyone in my pack's wolf is as large as his, so it's obvious he's not from the Greyhound pack. Who is he?How did he even know about the Greyhound pack run? I am starting to think he doesn't even come from any neighboring pack."And our winner is the masked man," the whistleblower declares, lifting the masked man's hand. The audience erupts in screams. Cheering and chanting 'Masked man.' The accolades are enough to make him raise his shoulders. No one can see the expression on hi

Kristen's POVIt's happening all fucking over again, that it feels like I was cursed to always fall into this position.Kidnapped, and chained to a spot where I can't even escape. I can't even feel my hands because they're right behind me. The way my captor chained me, it's almost like he fears I would transform into a wolf as large as his, break out of these chains, and runoff.Getting kidnapped didn't start until I turned 21, exactly two years ago.First, it was with Jack, the psycho who stalked and obsessed over me until he finally laid his hands on me. According to him, he caught me getting sexed in the back seat of a car, and then he couldn't get me out of his head. He finally had the perfect chance to kidnap, and locked me up in a short cage, along with over two hundred women he had abducted for years.Second, my mom. She wanted to kill me along with my unborn child. She couldn't stand seeing her only daughter be with her ex-husband, who she couldn't get over.Thirdly and bow it
