Prologue

"Don't you dare to come near me." She shouted in the loudest tone possible."Why not?" I replied, walking towards her "Because you lied to me," she retorted."I didn't. I just hid the truth," I replied in a calm voice."That's the same," she rolled her eyes and turned around to walk away. The moment she was about to walk out of the place, I held her wrist and pulled her. She bumped into my chest and before she could retort, I caged her in my arms."Leave," she struggled to get out of my grip."Baby. Listen to me," I spoke in the softest tone possible but kept my grip on her strong."No. I won't. You betrayed me," she shouted at me."I could never. Never do that," I replied. Her words hurt me like a bullet in my chest. The way she wanted to go away from me, the way she claimed that I betrayed her. Everything pinched me and it was making me angry."Aah!" She cried out, as I tightened my grip on her."Kaiser. What are you doing? You will hurt her. You can't hurt her, she is your mate,"

1. MAGIC

MIDNIGHT"Come on. We have to take our pup and run as fast as we can," he spoke in a hurry."But, how can I run? She is so little," she had tears in her eyes."We have to. Or else they will kill us," he spoke in a voice that instilled fear."But running like cowards? Is that why we're here?" She questioned. She had never learnt to run away from her problems and enemies. She was known to give a fight. And why wouldn't she, she was a luna after all."No way. But we have to think about the little life that you have held in your arms. We can't end her life at this moment when it just began," he argued. She looked at the little life she was holding and tears escaped her eyes. She had planned so much for this little pup. Both of them had planned a grand celebration with their entire pack when she would be brought into this world, but destiny is cruel sometimes. The entire pack was killed, and the alpha and luna had no other option than to run to save the only pup they had just given birth t

2. MATE

Twenty Eight Years Later...KAISER"Damn! That was some crazy workout session bro." My friend Paul chirped as we walked out of the community gym."It was. I love working out," I replied. As we walked, a girl stood in front of us, blocking our way. I looked at her. She had brown hairs, blue eyes and a sultry smirk on her lips. I checked out her outfit and that was the time when I immediately understood what she wanted. I rolled my eyes."But why do you guys need to work out? You're strong and sexy," she muttered as she checked me out."Why do you need to pass comments?" I mocked and then walked out from there."I don't like these girls," I scoffed and Paul laughed. After a few minutes' walk, I reached my house."Mom! Dad! I'm home," I shouted out as I walked towards my room.I flung my bag on the bed and went directly to the washroom to take a shower. As I got out of the shower, my anger knew no bounds. That girl was sitting on the bed, half-naked. "What are you doing here?" I roared

3. MENTOR

KAISERI was punching the shit out of the punching bag kept in the basement, when I heard footsteps approaching me. I didn't let that bother me and continued to punch that bag."I got to hear that you basically kicked Rhea out of the house?" I heard Paul's voice."Yes," I replied."Which meant I missed the drama," he teased.Paul is my best friend, and the only person whose shit I can tolerate every time is him. He is like a baby brother to me."Yes, Paul. You did," I scoffed."Yeah. And I'm here. You need to look at me and talk. You don't have to butcher the poor punching bag, how long would it tolerate the torture?" He complained.I rolled my eyes and stopped punching and turned towards him. The moment I turned, the bag swung and hit Paul in his head and he fell down."Ouch!" He whined. I scoffed. He stood up while rubbing his head and walked towards me."What happened Kais? Why are you so frustrated?" He questioned.I knew I had to tell him everything."Do you know? Who set up the

4. CLUMSY

KAISER"Hey! Are you okay?"I heard her voice. Her voice was like a meadow. It felt like a soft music in my ears. But I'm on the floor, embarrassing myself in front of a human. Who would say that I'm the alpha of the Blue Moon pack? One of the strongest and most feared packs of werewolves.I managed to get up and stood in front of her and smiled awkwardly while scratching my head."Yeah! I am fine. I just tripped," I shrugged."Yeah. I get it. This happens to me all the time. I am the clumsiest person you would ever meet," she replied with a smile.Yep. Clumsiest person. Heck! I am the one who fell down, and she's calling me clumsy? I bet she is controlling her laughter at my stupidity.I simply grinned at her words."Anyways, I am Maya Whitmore, and you would be reporting to me through the entire period of your internship," she replied with a smile."Kaiser Goreaxe," I replied and shook my hands with her.The moment my hand touched my skin, I felt a spark all of a sudden. That spark

5. APPOINTMENT

KAISERI know Paul had rejected his mate, but why is he stopping me from rejecting mine? If he could do that, I could do that too.He sighed and looked at me with a painful smile."Just close your eyes and think," he muttered while I stared at him in confusion."What?" I responded."Do as I say, Kais," He demanded.I sighed as I closed my eyes and shut down every other thought that had clouded me."For a while, just imagine that you have rejected your mate and now, you will have to live all alone for your entire life unless you choose otherwise," he muttered. The moment he said that, I opened my eyes and confusingly looked at him."Paul!" I gasped. He had a painful smile on his face as he walked away from me and looked in another direction."You will have to live alone. Your days may pass by while fulfilling the duties of an Alpha, but your nights would be lonely. You will have no one, you could open your heart to, laugh with or even cry with. You are an alpha, and you will remain str

6. WORKOUT

MAYAI was pissed off at her. I was visiting her religiously for my treatment for five years and yet I had no improvement in my health. In fact, I had started to feel worse and that was extremely frustrating to me."Maya! Calm down, dear. You're getting pissed off for no such reason. We have to be patient with the treatment as yours is such a unique case and we have no idea how it gets triggered," Claire tried to calm me down but to be honest, I was just done with her shit."Oh! Shut up," I rolled my eyes as I got up from my seat."You know what, I am done. I am done with you and I am done with all this. I just can'take it anymore if there's zero progress," I responded in frustration. And then, I walked out of the room. My anger and frustration were getting the better of me.I got into my car and then drove towards my gym, I needed to vent out and I could find no better way than working out to vent all of my frustration. I needed to lift the shit out of those cold iron plates.I reach

7. HEARTBEAT

MAYAWedding? The next month? How's that even possible? Isn't it too soon? And why do I have zero clue about anything?I looked at Samuel. He looked excited about the wedding while I was clueless. At first the engagement and now wedding? Wasn't he going to fast? I wasn't even prepared for any of this. I didn't even know if I wanted to marry. I wanted to scream No to him, I wanted to say that, No, I don't want to marry you, Samuel. But I couldn't, I don't know why, but I just couldn't."Congratulations, Mate!" I heard Kaiser's words.I looked at Kaiser, he was smiling but I don't know how, but I could sense the discomfort in his eyes. It was confusing to me. Why do I feel like he isn't happy about my marriage but the fact that we met just today was bothering me more."Thanks!" Samuel chirped."Come on, baby. Let's go," He then turned towards me and placed his hand on my waist. I looked at him, surprised by his actions and I was about to say something, but then, once again, my head sta

8. IMAGINATION

MAYA"That thing there. Your heart. It knows what you should do to be happy. So do listen to your heart, Maya. It will tell you what's right and what's wrong," Kaiser said with a smile. The moment he said that I couldn't move my eyes away from him. His mild smile felt like he had tales to tell and I wanted to hear it all. I had met him just a day ago, but I don't know why, I felt like I have had known him for ages. I barely knew him, yet my heart felt safe and happy around him.The way he spoke, his eyes expressed a lot more than his words. He looked like someone who doesn't give two damns about this world, especially girls, but I don't know why, I felt like he felt a certain comfort around me. At least I did. The way he cared about me, even though if seemed like friendly intentions, it felt extremely special to me. It touched my heart.I smiled at his words, the way he comforted me just by a mere few words made me feel vague, and then, all of a sudden, one realisation hit me. My head

9. SECRET

KAISER"I don't think so anyone from this lab has been using Wolfsbane," Paul muttered."How can you say that?" I asked, looking at him.As much as I knew Paul, he never made conclusions before verifying the facts. This was very unusual of him. So the sudden conclusion that he made surprised me."I mean, we did search the lab nicely and most importantly, we do have super senses, if there would have been any presence of wolfsbane, we would have sniffed it," he argued.Well, his argument did make sense. We couldn't sniff anything unusual. But there was something different in this lab, even though I couldn't sniff it but I could feel it."Yeah. I know. But since we're interns. We will have to stay for three months," I replied."From when did you care about this internship? I know you Kais! You can manipulate the shit out of people and we would be good to go." Paul's tone had a certain level of suspicion. He just stared at me."Well! There's something I need to tell you," I sighed. I ha
