"That thing there. Your heart. It knows what you should do to be happy. So do listen to your heart, Maya. It will tell you what's right and what's wrong," Kaiser said with a smile.

The moment he said that I couldn't move my eyes away from him. His mild smile felt like he had tales to tell and I wanted to hear it all. I had met him just a day ago, but I don't know why, I felt like I have had known him for ages. I barely knew him, yet my heart felt safe and happy around him.

The way he spoke, his eyes expressed a lot more than his words. He looked like someone who doesn't give two damns about this world, especially girls, but I don't know why, I felt like he felt a certain comfort around me. At least I did. The way he cared about me, even though if seemed like friendly intentions, it felt extremely special to me. It touched my heart.

    REGINA "One bite. And your alpha dies a brutal death," I howled unwillingly. After that, I placed my teeth right on Kaiser's neck. I had to bite him lightly so that he doesn't die but the wound should look serious. I cursed myself, because whatever I did, it included playing with Kaiser's life, and it was torturous for me. I was about to bite him when I heard a voice. "STOP!" It was Thomas. I looked at him. "Don't kill him. I... I surrender. I will confess everything that we did. Just don't kill him," he begged.
