The Baby Contract のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 41 - チャプター 50

AARON’s POVI entered the house, weary after a long day of work. The thought of coming home to relax was the only thing that kept me going. However, as I stepped into the kitchen, my mood change in a nano second.Laughter. Bella's laughter, to be precise. It was ringing through the air, and it didn't take me long to pinpoint the source – the kitchen. With a sigh, I pushed the door open, and there they were, she and my brother, Noah. They were standing near the kitchen counter, a half-eaten cake in front of them. Bella's cheeks were flushed pink, and she was laughing so hard that tears welled up in her eyes.Noah held a piece of cake on a fork, waving it in front of her teasingly. And just when I thought I had seen enough, he stuffed it into her mouth. My blood boiled, and my voice thundered through the room, "Bella!"They both turned, startled, and she coughed on the cake, her laughter replaced by a surprised gasp. Noah placed the fork back on the plate, a cold look on his face."What

BELLA’s POV“That didn’t mean anything Bella, believe me when I tell you so.”“Okay then,” I replied him,not having the strength to argue further.Suddenly there was a sexy glint in those blue eyes of his. And then he gave a lopsided grin, his stupid dimple evident. “You were jealous weren’t you?”I flushed.”Jealous? You wish. I just didn’t want you embarrassing yourself. It’s a public place and you shouldn’t have such close relations with your ex,Aaron. It’s your reputation, not mine.”“Swear that you weren’t actually jealous.” He said and grew closer to me,pulling me by the waist to him.I drew in a sharp intake of breath.”No,leave me alone Aaron. Anyone can walk in here right now.”“And so? We are a couple aren’t we?”I brushed a stray hair from my face and pulled myself away from his grip.”We need to get back to the party.”I didn’t know the thoughts running through that head of his so I had to run away while I still could. Two days flickered by.The dinner table was set grandly, ad

BELLA’s POVI wondered what he had to say. But then I had to tell him about my pregnancy first."I have something to tell you," I began hesitantly, my voice in a whisper. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the folded test results from the doctor. Unfolding them carefully, I placed them on the table between us.Aaron's gaze shifted from my face to the document, and his expression didn’t change."You're pregnant yeah?”I crinkled my brows.”How come you are not surprised or happy?”“Why should I be when you let my bastard brother know before me.” He said, his voice with an edge.“What? How did you find out?”"Never mind how I found out," he interrupted, a note of frustration in his voice. "The point is, I asked you about it, and you lied. You said you weren't pregnant.""Aaron, it's not what you think," I began, my voice shaky. "It was a coincidence. I didn't mean to tell Noah about it. I didn’t even know I was pregnant till hours ago. I suspected it yes,but I mean,I wasn’t sure.”He

BELLA’s POVThe night was silent when I saw Bella walking into the house, her steps quiet and purposeful. I had been watching her from the window while she conversed with Noah by the pool, and it hadn't escaped my notice that she had chosen to engage in a late-night conversation with him. Irritation simmered beneath the surface, but I decided to let it slide for the time being. She entered the room, her eyes a little weary, and I could tell she was trying to sneak in without drawing attention. I raised an eyebrow as I leaned against the doorway. "Having fun with my brother weren’t you?" I inquired, my tone nonchalant. She turned to face me, her expression guarded. "I'm tired, Aaron," she replied, brushing past me. It was clear she had no intention of offering any further explanation.I watched her disappear into our bedroom, my thoughts drifting elsewhere. There was something intriguing about her guts. She showed me I wasn’t the only one to have an attitude.Nice,Bella.Really nice.Th

AARON’s POVBella stood quietly looking at me. I could tell she was frustrated and I could see the tears bubbling up in her eyes that she eagerly brushed away. She angled her chin and looked away then walked over into the bathroom slamming the door behind her.I heaved a deep sigh and decided to step out for some fresh air.As I closed the door behind me, I was startled to find Noah standing there, leaning against the hallway wall. He looked perturbed, his brows furrowed, and his arms crossed over his chest. It was clear that he had something to say, something he wasn't about to keep to himself.Without waiting for a greeting, he spoke, his tone irritated . "Aaron, you need to stop being possessive”. I glowered at him."Noah, this isn't your concern. Bella is my wife, and I have every right to be concerned about her well-being."He pushed away from the wall, his frustration evident. "That's exactly what I'm talking about, Aaron. You treat Bella like she's your property. She's her own
