Iris POVThe soft knock on the bedroom door signaled the arrival of the maid. I smiled, anticipating her familiar presence and the comforting routine that followed. With each passing day, our bond grew stronger, and I found solace in her gentle assistance."Good morning Iris," the maid greeted with warmth in her voice as she entered the room. "Shall we begin our day?"I nodded, my fingertips brushing against the edge of the bed as I swung my legs over the side. The maid guided me to stand and led me to the en-suite bathroom. As the water cascaded down in the shower, I let the warmth envelop me, washing away the remnants of sleep."How are you feeling today Iris?" the maid asked, her voice filled with genuine concern.I paused, considering her question. "I feel a sense of anticipation," I replied. "There's something about today that feels different."The maid's voice carried a hint of curiosity. "Is there a particular reason, ma'am?"I smiled, even though she couldn't see it. "The day

Iris Pov.Once again I felt the sicking atmosphere of the hospital office in which I was seated. It felt as if the chairs in the doctor’s office had spikes in them because I felt extremely uncomfortable sitting in them and could not wait to take my leave.Weird silence filled the four corners of the hospital office once again, I could feel the doctor's eyes all around me and Arthur’s hands still entangled with mine.I sat quietly, still trying to comprehend all that had happened earlier with Arthur. The mixed emotions Arthur showered on me caused me to question my reasoning faculty. I tried to wrap my head around different ideas, suggestions, and behaviors Arthur signaled to me.Initially, he brought me to this goddamn hospital without my approval and then he scolded me and remained me in my state of captivity; How I was supposed to obey him and his meaningless opinions were to him because his decisions were final. When I thought he was one cruel being, he went on to show me some acts

I asked politely. Her eyes widened in shocked, and she curtsied, I could understand her reaction as Arthur was a big shot here, as the owner and their employer they had to accord respect to him, she left what she was doing immediately.“Follow me.” She politely requested.I nodded my head and followed her. We walked past several rooms, ascended the stairs and took a left turn twice before we arrived at a huge room. She knocked gently on the door, and it was opened from the inside. She bowed her head and excused herself. I understood what she meant and took a deep breath right before I stepped in.The house was nothing like what I knew before. The interio

**Iris’s POV** A familiar scent hit my nostrils as I turned over on the bed. I was reluctant to leave the dreamworld. Hence I laid there a few more minutes, but I knew I couldn't stay there forever. My eyes fluttered open and I sighed. It wasn't as if I could see a thing, but I had no choice. Only in my dreams do I get to know what it feels like to see again, and I mumbled a word of prayer to the goddess. I felt a presence in the room but didn't freak out since it felt familiar to me. Ever since I lost my sight, I had horned my other senses, my sense of hearing and perceiving became more sharpened as that was the only thing I could do to help myself. I reached out for my cane, which was always beside my bed and struggled to get on my feet. “I see you're awake.” A familiar voice said. “Good morning.” I greeted in return. I imagined that look on his face, he hated being corrected or worse, scorned . I could feel his slight hesitation before he moved closer to me. “Did you sleep we
