Grace's POVThe minute the chopper landed on the roof of a building, I didn't care what was going to happen to me, I knew I had to go back to Davis. I wasn't the only one crying, Helen was too. I was so angry that Davis could do that to me but worse, I was scared. I was scared of what might happen to him It was when we were in the air, that I had seen the numbers of men going to fight my husband. His men were not close to half of them. Davis wouldn't be able to fight them all. I knew I had told him never to kill again but I now understand what Adrianna said about it was either they die or you die.I tried calling his phone again and again but Davis didn't pick up, making me panic more. I didn't know what to do, I have never been this confused as I looked from time to time at Adrianna. I knew she wouldn't let me go back but I was ready to do anything to go back to Davis. What if he was hurt or worse…Never, no, he just can't die like that. He is the Don of New York.As the helicopter

Grace's POVI stood outside the operation room, as I waited. The minute we were sure we were far away and safe to land, the pilot had landed, so we could take Davis to the hospital. He was being operated on right now, and I just couldn't stop panicking. Tears have not stopped rolling down, instead. The pilot had gone to get me something to eat, but I just couldn't eat anything. My teeth couldn't chew, my throat couldn't swallow, either could my stomach contain whatever it was that he had brought. The light in the operating room was still on, it only made my heart beat some more. It's been more than three hours. What were they doing that they weren't done already?“Don is a strong man, he will survive it” the man I had just found out from Jack saying to me through the ear device. Although Davis had told me some time ago that he had a friend named Jack, I had never seen or heard from him before until today. He was talking to Davis while the fight was going on. “I hope” I whispered.

Grace's POVI stood before the large water as I watched it flow back and forth, the sound of the wave resounding in my ears. The cool breeze continued to blow my hair back and forth, the place as quiet as always, I breathed in and out the fresh air and smiled, a sad one. It's been a month since the unfortunate bloodshed in the Don's residence. The fight had caused a lot of death, it caused tears and pain not only to me and my daughter but Adrianna as well.We had left the hospital that morning to get Adriana and Helen. The doctor and the two nurses helped us get Davis to a secured hospital far away from New York where the surgery took place. And it was a success. What I didn't understand was why Davis refused to wake up, as he is still unconscious. The doctor had clearly stated that he was supposed to wake up few hours after the surgery, but my husband is still sleeping. I didn't want to take any chances, so we had to move again to somewhere else. Jack had instructed us to move to

Davis's POVThe smile on my face spread up some more when I saw her eyes wide. How long was I unconscious? Grace was staring at me as if I were a ghost. “Davis,” she whispered.Grace remained frozen there, she didn't move forward nor did she say anything more. All she did was stare, then tears began to roll down her cheeks. I must have scared my babies so much, I tried to move my legs, but they were stiff, the reason being that I hadn't moved for long. I watched my babies, including Adrianna, rush to me and hug me. They all began to cry loudly, making my eyes sting with tears. “Hey…” My throat was cracked and my mouth dried. Adrianna passed me a glass of water quickly, and I took it and drank of it. They had a wide smile on their faces, yet they were crying. I shook my head, trying so hard not to let my tears fall, “How long was I out?” I turned to Grace. “Two years” she replied, making me seize my breath. What the fuck! I was unconscious that long?“Mummy!” I heard Helen groa

Grace's POVI didn't know when I began to force back the blush from creeping into my cheeks. He just woke up and he was already seeing this. “I'll… I'll just go… get you some food” I couldn't help but stammer and was about to walk away when Davis pulled me back, causing me to fall on his chest before he wrapped his arms around my tiny waist. I didn't argue, as I had always wanted to feel his warmth since the night we were attacked. He inhaled my hair before he pressed his lips on my head.“I love you so much, baby. Thank you for your strength” My eyes swelled with tears and I sniffed, “I love you too. Thank you for not dying” I pulled away and looked into his eyes, “That man was the same man who killed my sister, Davis. His voice, I could recognize it. He was the one who killed my sister in cold blood. Even when I did what he wanted, he still killed her. Then he captured Helen, he was the one who sent that letter to come back to New York to meet you. I am so sure of it, Davis. A
