Grace looked out through the window as the carriage pulled to a stop. They were here, her heart beat increased more than it should, a letter was all she was to deliver. She waited for the driver to open the door and gently got off the carriage. She didn't know why her father had to rent out one of the finest carriages in town and get her a new gown just for an errand but she didn't dare question it. Before her stood a huge building that resembled the house of elders in her village, only that this one was slightly bigger and isolated. "I'd be right back." She said to the coach man as a form of reassurance to herself. She had no idea why, but she felt some kind of off energy engulfing her. She gathered her skirts and swiftly walked over unto the steps. The moment her feet floated over the last step, the wide doors opened up and like a compelling spell, she entered. A man appeared out of no where scaring her almost to death, he was all dressed in black, the only other color was on his

A few people were waiting for them when they arrived and they all seemed eager to see both of them. The only lady who stood with the other men came to Grace with a smile on her face and led her into the covern"I'm Leila."She smiled once again."Grace""How was your journey?""It was.... Fine""I'll get you food but I want to show you your room first. In this covern mates share a room."Grace didn't bother to object. Neither did she bother to ask how she knew. "I was an human too once like you and I didn't know why some grumpy ass Vampire came out of nowhere to whisk me away."Grace shot her eyes up at her. Was she going to be turned too? She didn't even know if the idea was great or life wrenching. "But love's a wonderful thing." Leila said sighing, coming to a stop before a room in the last floor. "Here's your room."The inside was huge, more than enough space, she could imagine sleeping on the floor or sending Dante to sleep on the couch if he offended her. She was not going

Grace was standing by the window looking as the rain drizzled down the window when when Dante walked in tired, drenched from head to toe from the rain. "You're up already?"He asked taking off his clothes as he stood beside the fireplace. "Yeah." She barely let out. "Where were you?"She asked, turning to look at him.He turned abruptly then turned back to the fireplace. He was naked now.."I had to go take care of some thing."Grace nodded as she watched him grab a cloth from the wardrobe and wrap it around his waist. "Like what?"He looked up at her, walking towards, he grabbed her hands. "Things my love."Her lips quivered as she looked into his eyes. He was suddenly in her head and she just simply turned her head to a side knocking him out. Dante squeezed her hands surprised and hurt. How did she learn to do that? And why?"Is there anything wrong?""No." The nagging feeling to ask about his former mate choked her like lack of air. But at the same time something in her felt

"I'm an idiot who's also addicted to bread too"He said laughingGrace basked in the afternoon sun alongside with Rome as they strolled towards the doctors abode. And for some reason, she felt nervous and had this burning sensation st the back of her neck like she was being watched. She eased a breath, rubbing her hands against her gown. It felt nostalgia especially since something similar had happened at the covern just recently. Confusion suddenly filled Rome's chest and it wasn't his. He looked over to his wife with a look of concern. "Are you okay?""Yes." She cleared her throat unnecessarily. "You clearly aren't.""I am honestly, I ju-"Rome stopped midway"I know this has been a lot for you. A series of events happening right after the other and then me coming along.-""I--""But I'm your mate Grace and I truly have feelings for you. I do not want anything to happen to you. Not the reoccurrence that happened at the vamps covern. Let me know how to protect you"Grace eyes lock
