I never liked going to parties or anywhere else but tonight an exception was made by my best friend; Reene on my behalf.Reene pulled me through the crowded field with her legendary strength, just in case I decided to run off. I, unlike Reene imagination of me taking off was actually enjoying myself; I get to see the entire premium gist Reene always gave to me for myself. We arrived at our destination; the make shift bar. We had already been here thrice and we still haven't tried quarter of the drinks made available. The variety of unrecognizable liquid lined up on the table would have been troubling to me but i was here to unwind and not be the perfect student i acted as. They said werewolves were immune to intoxication but that didn't seem to be the case at this party, everyone including Reene were swaying on their feet’s, I reached towards her to keep her steady for the rest of the party. It was Gendar night, the only night in a year when all six packs in the region came together

I woke up from the sensation I felt around my face, like something was fixated on me. Hot breaths fanned my forehead and I groggily opened my eyes and saw a pair of eyes fixated on me with branches from somewhere behind its eyes rubbing my neck, a feeling of panic arose inside me as I jumped up with a start and whatever was in front of me vanished into thin air and appeared at the other side of the bed.Luckily it was just a girl with long brown hair smiling at me intently, “nice reflex…you could protect yourself with such speed so Asher doesn’t have to think of making me guard you.”I looked at her blankly because I was yet to register my surroundings until I heard her say the name; Asher. She further introduced herself, “I am Ari ...Arizona. Alpha Asher’s younger sister and vice-captain of his squad.”I nodded at her, neither did I introduce myself or greet her. If she was in this room then she knew who I was and what

I marveled in awe as Ari showed me around the pack house and its immediate surroundings as I walked along with her, I never got the chance to appreciate the silver pack territory last night. Well, the timing wasn’t appropriate after all.The buildings were brightly painted compared to the people we passed on the way who mostly dressed in dull colors, were a huge contrast. A few of them spared me a glance as they greeted Ari, I could say most of the silver pack members kept their face expressionless but I had only met five percent of the full pack and the ones I met so far had essential jobs; with no reason to smile.“You said you wanted to see me train right?” Ari said casually, with hopes of showing me what she could do. We were currently standing at a door that most likely led to the training ground; I could hear clashes and shuffling from within.“I can’t say no, can I?” I spoke crisply, I didn’t care less about Ari’s skills but curiosity got the best of me to see how silver pack m

I breathed a sigh of relieve when I found no one in any of the hallways leading to the room I was currently staying in, and once I got to the last hallway, there was someone leaning on the wall, waiting for me.He was a little familiar as I recall seeing him behind Asher at the training grounds, my face heated up, he was perhaps someone who had laughed at me earlier in the day. I halted contemplating if I should go there or not and when I finally decided to walk away, he saw me.I could pretend I didn’t see him and walk away but he was already heading towards me with a box. I didn’t know his rank but his aura was soothing, he handed the box and left immediately without saying a word.He probably didn’t want to waste his breath on a girl who couldn’t shift. Upon getting to my room, the window I had found enticing in the morning came into view and it was even more enticing and so was the urge to disappear.I shook my head, why should

From the rustling trees came fort members of Silver pack shifting back to their human form and Asher rushing towards the crashed car. The mere sight of him brought momentary relief to my pounding heart and my dry eyes became moist as Asher rushed towards me.I felt happy seeing him rush over, no matter how I hated this man; he was undeniably what the goddess gave me. My happiness didn’t last for long as Asher got closer to me; he pushed me out of his sight and reached for his sister. This left me stunned as it did the other pack member, his actions was disrespectful and without regard for my injury. His eyes filled with fear as he reached for his sister and brought her out, he checked her carefully for injuries and his eyes brimmed with anger upon seeing her palm.My view was blocked and a member of the pack squatted before me, it was the man I met at the door last night; George. “Are you alright?”Ha. The first act of kindness after being hurt was from someone I haven’t said anythin
