Hector was so close I could smell the musk scent that got mixed with his sweat. His eyes couldn’t decide on which color to settle on as it switched back and forth from hazel to yellow. The paramedics arrived thirty minutes later. By then aunt Courtney’s pulse was almost undetectable. We were all taken by them and rushed to the hospital while the police were still scrutinizing the scene. The following events were a blur.
