Max’s POV That night… I choose Kya over all else. I desired to be near her and as Alpha of this pack, I get what I desire. I made my way back to the hospital to see her against my better judgment. After returning to the hospital I came into the outer room connected to Kya's treatment room and gazed over at her through the little window. I realized my attraction to this beautiful girl could be dangerous. At that moment something inside compelled me to stay with her though I did not know why. Her little helpless body stared back at me. “Go in” Artemis murmured in my head. Not obeying him but my desires I entered Kya's treatment room. I walked to her bedside not taking my eyes off of her. Her cheeks have become a little fuller, her hair less dull and her lips have color returning to them. -knock knock- A gentle knock came from the viewing room door. I glanced over at the door as the doctor entered. “Any updates on her condition doc?” I immediately asked him looking back at Kya.

Max’s POV “Calming things the doctor said…” I told beta, Alex. “Well, what do you want alpha? You just keep repeating yourself scratching your chin!” Alex replied. “Goto my quarters and get the lavender candle in the cabinet in the bathroom. Also, stop by the pack store and get the biggest bouquet you can!” I looked Alex dead in the eye “NOW!” ‘I want her to feel calm’ I thought to myself. Anything to get her out of this room. It is devastating watching a young girl so frail before me. I stared at Kya for a long time from the viewing room until Alex returned with my requests. “Alpha you better tell Ben and Scott you requested this stuff! They laughed way too hard at my arrival!” He said over a large bouquet. I chuckled looking at him. Max’s POV The doctor and I looked at each other in amazement as the girl we had just spoken of sat up from her hospital bed. “I thought you said 1-2 more days doctor?” I whispered. “It’s a miracle..” the doctor replied wide-eyed staring at Kya with his mouth agape. “Her-her eyes they…” the doctor started stuttering. “We must protect her….we must take this gently and allow her to heal mentally as well as physically” he started clearing his shakiness leaving his formal doctor voice to lead.
