Peter was looking at her now with furrowed eyebrows. She looked at Mason who looked like she was trying not to laugh. ‘Traitor, he’s supposed to help me out of this situation.’ Olivia thought.“Everything okay?” Peter asked arching his eyebrows.“Yeah! Perfect!” She answered quickly or maybe too quickly.“What’s with the …” He gestured to the covers in her hands with his finger.“Oh! T-these? I-I , yeah, Mason! He wanted to lend it, says his was dirty. I’m lending my Duvet to him.” She finished with a nervous but hopefully convincing smile.Peter came slowly towards her and she gulped. He stood in front of her for a moment before straightening her head which was tilted to the side.“You know, I’ve always wondered if I was the only one who noticed how you always tilt your head to the left side whenever you lied.” He said and her eyes widened.“I noticed it too.” Mason butted in and she glared at him, Peter also looked at Mason and did the same.“You can’t always be predictable. “SELF DEFENSE”“I don’t want to.” Olivia deadpanned.“It’s adorable that you think I’m giving you a choice.” Mason told her truthfully as he carried her to the gym located in their house.“You can’t force me. Why not teach Michelle or-or Ruby?”“Why don’t you attack them and see whether they are going to react or not? They are gonna whoop your pretty ass so bad. They both learned self defense, sweetheart. Now, it’s your turn.” Mason chuckled with her still in his arms her.It was Saturday and Peter brought up the idea of enrolling his youngest daughter in a self defense class two days ago so Mason volunteered to teach her already loving the idea.He wasted no time in driving to Peter’s house early this morning. He had went straight into his room he had there, changed his attire into a sporty one and made his way to Peter’s office. He didn’t change at home because he knew that will create unwanted interrogations, not with his Grandmother’s bored self at home looking for something to be

Mason sighed when he saw that the girls were almost matching, he won’t even bother asking. He already knew it must be Scarlet’s idea. “Hi Mason!!” Scarlet chirped and hurried to hug her cousin. Scarlet looked like she was even more excited to see him than Olivia was. Mason rolled his eyes knowing why she did that. She soon released him and he walked past her till he was in front of Olivia. He smiled and kissed her forehead. Then he glanced at Grandmother before intertwining his fingers with Olivia’s and off they went, up the stairs with Scarlet walking closely behind them happily. They heard Grandmother’s faint voice behind them. ‘Unbelievable.’ She had said and the girls just giggled quietly. When they got into Mason’s room, Scarlet just went directly towards his bed and laid down. Mason shook his head and Olivia looked around to find different papers scattered across the floor below his desk.Realizing that he was really busy, she told him he could carry on and they won’t disturb

“Try to remember dad. You must have encountered someone called Gerald?” Mason asked as he sat down opposite Leonel inside the office. This is the second time he will be asking his father that question. It was a few weeks after Olivia had a sleepover at his house, he decided to confront the Don about the question that’s been bugging his mind even though he had asked him once already and Leonel had said he doesn’t know who he is asking about. They’ve resumed school one week ago. He couldn’t be more happy that he has less than five months to finish at the university.Leonel raised his head abruptly before putting on a calm expression.“No, I didn’t. Oh! I think one of Peter’s men bares that name.” He said and went back to arranging his documents.“Do I have any other uncle aside from Scarlet’s dad?” Mason asked again and his dad grinned.“Not that I know of.”“Exactly!! Do you think Grandma had an affair and probably has other children we don’t know of?” Mason proposed his theory and h

“Umm, g-good evening Sir. H-hope you’ve been well?” Olivia stuttered out and mentally gave herself a knock on the head.“Hey Olivia. Quite surprised to see you walking in here on your own. What can I do for you?” Leonel's deep voice filled the office and she could feel the sweat that just rolled down her back.“I just- I don’t- I want to-” “Olivia, have your seat.” He gestured to the chair opposite him with a little smirk on his face. She slowly moved towards the chair and sat down looking everywhere but his face.“Is this how you get when talking to Mason too?” He questioned teasingly and she shook her head ‘no’.“Good, then just feel at ease. What do you want to say?” He asked again.Olivia narrated everything to him from the beginning to the end and even though she felt like she was wasting his time, he listened attentively and he will often tell her to go on whenever she paused.“-Because we are hoping your presence there will calm him down a bit.” She finished. He was silent for
