If everything checks out, we can seal the deal right away,” Darcy said. Everybody nodded and gobbled up their food. Unlike before, there was underlying tension in the air. Everybody’s eyes would shift to Darcy as they awaited her instructions. “We can’t rush the contract. Just take it one step at a time. Don’t stress about it. I’ve got you covered.” Robbie seemed like a reasonable man. However, anyone could read between the lines. “There is no hurry, but I am confident we can meet your needs. Just say the word,” Darcy said in a relaxed demeanor as if everybody was in her control. Nothing Robbie said could get to her. Darcy had her plan and thoughts.
