“I see. The better the reward, the more people would try,” Edmund agreed. “You agree too, Mr. Witterson? If you apply such a reward system in your company, do you think your employees would succeed?” Darcy had serious doubts about herself. “Of course not. What kind of connections does an employee have? If they do, they will be the boss and not work for me,” Edmund explained. Employees would be bosses if they possessed bosses’ qualities and resources, not settling for mere employee status. “I’m quite impressed, though. People who can make this work must be capable, at least with a strong background,” Edmund said as he looked at Russell. “Yeah. My background was given to me by my company. Our company trains the employees with a senior-junior system. It’s tough at first, but the reward pays off.” Russell smiled and nodded. Edmund still had doubts on Russell, but he did not need to explain things explicitly. If Edmund asked, Russell would just provide a standard answer. R
