Lahat ng Kabanata ng Bound by the Soul: He is not my Mate: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 8

VICTORIA I stood in the center of the pack’s training room, facing two of the trainees assigned to me. They are both eager to be part of our pack’s defenders. As the daughter of our alpha, I had to share my expertise in combat and also assess whether they passed or not. “Alright, let’s begin,” I said calmly, taking a stance and giving them the head start to attack. “Remember, this is about control, not just aggression. Our wolves are our primal instincts. It was hard to control when you’re in a fight but you have to remember to bring presence of mind in a fight. Focus on your technique and anticipate your opponent’s moves.” They both nodded and lunged toward me without hesitations, eager to show what they had learned. Spencer aimed a punch at my face, but I sidestepped and easily avoided the attack before I counterattacked with a swift strike to his side. He winced and made way for Annalise to attack. She executed a series of quick kicks packed with accuracy but lacked power. We

VICTORIAI think the goddess heard my complaints earlier and decided to fuck me over. Why can’t you feel it? He’s our mate!My wolf desperately tried to convince me, but I felt nothing except agitated by what my wolf was trying to say to me.Everyone who experienced meeting their fated mate said that I would feel the bond no matter what once we laid eyes on each other, and it has already happened. I literally landed on top of him, but I wouldn’t even know if my wolf didn’t tell me that he was my mate!It wasn’t even the largest question at hand. Why must it be this man above anyone that could be my mate?Huge stories travel, not only within the pack but also to neighboring packs. The “juicy” gossips tends to travel faster, and this guy is the latest hottest topic of gossip within the packs.Lucas Quinn is the new alpha of the Silver Crest pack. Also known as the most notorious womanizer alpha in the city.I’m damned.“Enjoying the view?” He tilted his head, still wearing a playful gri

VICTORIA Go back. We can’t let him be with another woman! I heard my wolf complain, but I didn’t stop and speed up instead. “We’re better off without him. Don’t you realize that?” I exclaimed. I’ve never argued with my wolf before, not like this, and I can’t believe that this would be the reason. My eyes suddenly welled with tears. I don’t have a reason to cry or be jealous, but I can’t stop myself from being angry because my wolf is furious. I should have stayed at home! I stopped and parked in front of a random closed store. Why do I have to feel this? He’s obviously a jerk, why do I have to feel upset when we barely knew each other?! Please, he is our mate. You have to believe me. I closed my eyes, forcing myself to calm down and shut my wolf. “Damn it.” I curled in pain after forcefully subduing my wolf. The pain was immeasurable. It was like I was being torn apart from the inside. We were taught how to subdue our wolves, but it wasn’t advisable to do frequently because

VICTORIA“Victoria Wilson, where have you been? I was calling you the whole night.” Lyle didn’t even let me sit and started nagging me.I got home, thinking that I could ponder on things in peace because no one was contacting me. I forgot that I have a very persistent best friend. When I entered the house, she was sitting on my couch, just like how my mother used to do when Ruis or I snuck out, thinking we were so good at concealing our presence.“Can I at least have some coffee? I had a rough day,” I requested, but I went straight to the kitchen without notice. I need something to distract me, or I might just lose my mind. It’s still a miracle how she doesn’t notice the vampire scent in me because I can smell myself, and I’m perfectly doused in Zephyr’s scent from sleeping on his bed.The smell is dangerously attractive, but I would never admit to it.Lyle glared at me when I came back. I handed her a cup of coffee as a peace offering. She accepted the mug but still stared at me as i
