Matteo Rodriguez "I'm not ready for your talk right now Mateo." She says walking to her room but I grab her wrist, pulling her back gently."What the hell is wrong with you Arianna?""Leave me alone Teo," she says, looking away from me and I take a step back."No I won't, I'd give you the space you need," I say firmly, pulling my palms into fists. "but until you tell me why you're mad, I'm not leaving."She was quiet. She does this whenever she doesn't want to say what's on her mind. And it's starting to get on my nerves."Are vou that free to care about me?" she blurts, sighing heavily. She looked tired, maybe I should just let her be."We're all safe," I take another step back. "if you're mad about me ignoring you in the morning I'm sorry."Her eyes finally meets mine and that was when I saw it. I saw it all. The relief, the pain, the fear, the anger and the last emotion…..care."I was scared Mateo. I was so scared that you'd die.I don't know what I'd do myself or them if you did.

Matteo Rodriguez The side eye everyone gave me made me grin harder. As I walk to the elevator, I see some men running to catch up with me, only the elevator door closes immediately they get to it.Look at them trying to stop me.I grip my briefcase harder as I step into twentiethfloor.Breathe in and out Mateo. Keep your shoulders high. You're Mateo Rodriquez.Everyone stood up immediately they saw me walk in, some gripped their guns, while others stepped back in fear. It's understandable though, it's been almost a year I got sent out and declared wanted."Hey guys," I yell, laughing when all of their eyes widen. "It's been a while hasn't it? Is my office still vacant?""Mateo," John said fearfully and I smile at the small man. "You know your stand in the outer world, you know yo-""Oh John John John, how I missed your nagging." i exclaim, pulling him in a bear hug while he froze in my hands.I release him, tapping his back, knowing fully well he felt the guns in my suit's jacket. "

Matteo Rodriguez Stupid stupid stupid.I pace my room staring at the mess all over the floor. Ihaven't been myself for two days. We all have been restless. Arianna left without a word and it's been two days, well two nights and this is the third day.8:43am.I'm trying hard not to track her but I want her to get the space she needs."Any news?" Redd comes into my room and I see the others standing behind him."You asked that minutes ago, I do not fucking know where she is," I ran my hand through my hair again. "She isn't with her phone and I can't even call her. I dont know where the hell she is, if she's eating right or not.""Mateo should I...""Not yet, we're giving her till noon, if she doesn't come back, you'd track her," I explain while they all listen intensively. "and we all go get her.""Okay then." Vera replies quietly heading out with her head hanging low and I sigh. Everyone was down, I turn my back to everyone with hands on the desk and my head laying limp between my sho

"Hey buddy," I ruffle his hair and he giggles, big brown hazel eyes look up at me and I melt. Like always. I always do. I love my son's bright innocent eyes, reminds me of my mum's. "Mama?" he asks, tilting his head sideways asking about his mum and I shake my head glancing at my watch. She should be here any minute now but I can't find her anywhere. "Mama's on her way love," I set him on the table and I pull my chair closer to him. "Have you eaten?" He nods, playing with the purple dinosaur in his hands while I watch him.
