Chance in the Storm
The sound of wind blowing brought Christen back from her forced slumber, as she opened her eyes to the darkness of night. Her mind raced, as she tried to recall what happened to her last.‘I was knocked out again, wasn’t I?’ she guessed, reaching a hand up to her head. ‘But why? Last I remember-‘ She stopped herself, eyes gone wide and face paled, upon recalling what occurred before she had blacked out. Mainly, when the door to the room opened, and he stood there. She slowly looked around the room, hoping he wasn’t in, or that the figure she saw was not actually him. Sadly, as she turned to the door on her left, there he sat. On a chair, with his arms crossed, and head limped down, breathing slowly in deep sleep.Seeing his face again after so long, Christen was both frightened and relieved to see him. The fright from the fact that she was seeing the one man she never wanted to see again, who gave her false hope in the worst way possible. Played with her heart in a way she didn't wan

Search in the Storm
Fenris was just in the bathroom, using the toilet as any person would. When he heard a strange sound, he didn’t think much of it; only assumed it to be the snowstorm outside. Until after he flushed and proceeded to wash his hands, when he heard something open from his room. After a quick rinse, Fenris barged out the bathroom to his room, where he found his mate out of bed, in the balcony.“CHRISTEN!”He ran as fast as he could to her, reaching a hand out to grab her, pull her away from the ledge, only to come short, as Christen jumped, falling to the ground below."Christen!" he cried out once more, just as the wind blew stronger. He wanted to jump down after her, but chose against it. For one thing, he could accidentally land on her. Worse, frighten her once he lands unscathed from the high jump, or recover fast from it.‘I don’t want to scare her,’ he thought, turning away from the ledge, and froze. ‘I don’t want to scare her… But I also don’t want to lose her!’ At that thought, he

Dysfunctional Link
Fenris searched desperately, even with the mate bond guiding him, but no matter where he looked or how hard he looked, he still couldn’t find Christen. It didn’t help that the storm was greatly being a hindrance to his already dulled senses. He could barely see the trees, barely smell anything out here, and with the wind blowing, not only was it hard for him to hear much of anything else…"Christen! Where are you?! Answer me if you can hear me!” He wasn’t even sure if his own voice could be heard through it. Heck, he could barely hear it himself in this storm. If he couldn’t hear himself, the possibility of Christen being able to hear him was quite low.‘Damn it. Come on, bond! Aren’t you supposed to help me find her?' he mentally questioned, having a difficult time making the pulse work for him. ‘I swear, if it tells me she's somewhere behind me or made another turn somewhere, I will definitely be questioning this feeling.’For a while during the search, Fenris thought he would find

Cabin in the Woods
Fenris was not having a good time. Not one bit. He was starting to feel a bit cold from the snowstorm. And if he was feeling cold, there was no doubt that Christen was. To save her from the cold, he had to find her, and fast.As much as he would like to do that, though, the mate bond- the one thing that was supposed to lead him to her the moment he wanted to find her- was not working as it should have. And his father’s suggested reason for it was really putting him in a sour mood.‘Are you trying to start something?’ he questioned with a growl.‘It’s called a possibility,’ Finral corrected, well aware of the ire his son was feeling. ‘Look, Fenris. I know it may not be what you want to hear, but it is still something you need to consider. Especially, given the multiple scents on her.’Fenris gritted his teeth when he pointed that out, knowing full well how true that may be. Still, he did not want to consider the thought. At least not until he hears the full story from Christen. 'Any ot

Please Relax
It took a bit of searching, but Fenris managed to find the cabin his father spoke of. As soon as he caught sight of it, Fenris didn’t waste another second and barged into the place, hastily setting his mate somewhere comfortable. That being the soft rug on the floor, for now. He then quickly searched around the shack for anything to warm her up, and thankfully found some furred blankets that he wrapped around her cold body. Once he had her all nice and snug, with the door and windows secured, he turned to the fireplace, which had some firewood right next to it, and got a good fire going.‘Alright. That should do the trick,' he thought, getting himself nicely warmed up by the fire as well. While his fur did help somewhat against the cold, he did still feel it a bit chilly out there with the terrible storm brewing. It didn't help that he did shift into his human form for a bit when he dug Christen out of the snow earlier. The form most vulnerable to the cold.Fenris turned his attention

Heart-Wrenching Nightmare
Hotel Nightly. The very hotel Fenris met Christen that should've been in the human world. In no way should it have any connection in the werewolf world. Much less to some newly-made cabin in the middle of the woods. And yet... here he is. In the very same building.‘No, wait. Something’s not right here,' Fenris thought on suspicion. He took in a breath, and strangely smelled nothing. Not the smell of wood, of the paint, nothing. Above all, it was far too quiet in here. 'This is Hotel Nightly, right? Why do I feel something off about this place?'He proceeded to walk down the halls, looking around for anything that could close him in on what was going on."AAAAHHHHHHH!!" Until he heard that scream. From a voice he knew too well."Christen!" He ran as fast as he could to the source of the scream, worried about his beloved. The scream practically echoed in the halls, making it quite difficult for him to locate the right door.He closed his eyes, focused in on the screams, pushing down th

Scars Discovered
'Your mate? Did something happen to her?' Finral asked, filled with concern.‘No, she's fine. Nothing happened to her, per say,’ Fenris answered, somewhat easing his father.‘If nothing happened to her, then what is it about her you want to consult about?'‘It's just…’ Fenris looked down at Christen, unsure if he should tell him about the dream he had. When he saw her body starting to truth, a discomforted look forming on her face, he started to talk. ‘I had a dream earlier.’He could practically hear his father sigh at the response. ‘Fenris, I know you love her, but there is a time and place for everything,’ he told him.Already catching on to whatever misunderstanding his father has, Fenris added, 'It's not a good dream. And I don't know about it being a nightmare.’‘Explain yourself.’And explain Fenris did, as he told his father of the dream he had. How he saw Christen get violated by some men, while he could only helplessly watch the scene unfold, unable to do anything to stop it

How Life Ends?
When Christen woke, the first thing she noticed was the warm blanket wrapped around her body. Rather, the simple fact that she was still alive.‘I'm... not dead, again,’ she thought, looking at her hand. ‘Again, somehow, someway, I was saved. Again, god delays my death. And for what?' Tears formed in her eyes at the question, heart consumed in depression as she turned to her side, her hand lowered to the floor by her. ‘Is it really that amusing, god? Is it really that fun to watch me suffer day after day? Feed me whatever happy lies you can feed me, and then rip them all away with the most horrible of truths? I already fell in love- twice- and even had a child I loved and raised with all my heart… There is only so much more I can bear…' The tears escaped her eyes, trailed down the bridge of her nose, down her temple, and dropped to the floor. ‘Why? Why can’t I at least choose where or when I die?’Birds chirping reached her ears. Christen, wiping the tears away from her eyes, looked u

Not Going to Eat You
Fenris thought his pack and Damien lying to him about watching over Damien’s business and reassuring Christen's safety was shocking enough. More than when he found out the mate he was fated to be with was human. Her statement just now? With that smile on her face that he loved? He didn’t know what to think! He felt shaken to the core for her to make that assumption. More so, being happy at the thought of it.His surprise rose even more when Christen took his hand in hers- a touch that made his heart jump- and brought it to her neck, instantly filling him with dread. It did not help that Christen closed her eyes shut, a peaceful expression on her face."Okay, I'm ready. Please. End me,” she requested.Fenris was just baffled by what his beloved asked him to do. Heck, he was frightened by it, and ripped his hand away from her. In turn, Christen opened her eyes, looking at him in pure confusion."Huh? What's wrong? Don't you want to kill me?” she asked, causing Fenris’s stomach to drop a

The Missing Ring
With the soup consumed, things were quiet between Christen and Fenris. While the former sat by the fire, the latter was washing up the pot and bowls. Christen offered to do it for him, in return for the soup, but Fenris declined the help. Told her to just stay by the fire where it was warm.It was not that he did not think she was incapable of washing. Not when Fenris heard from her of her life before meeting Damien. How she often slaved her life away serving her family, and spent her ‘married life’ watching over her new home alone, without her husband’s assistance, or that of any other servant or hired help. All the cleaning and cooking she had done was all done by her and her alone. Even if Christen did not think so, Fenris could see that she would make an excellent housewife. In fact, she was one. Her husband, on the other hand, clearly did not see how great she was as a person. Her family were even more so, for them to treat her as one would a slave in their world. Not even Alphas
