Author's pov Jane was startled to see Diego behind but she quickly comported herself and smiled sheepishly at him. She didn’t know when he showed up but she was sure he didn’t catch on anything."Hello Diego, longest time, I guess you have finally remembered me today." Jane said smiling at Diego but Diego was not Impressed with whatever nonsense she had to say. His face remained grim as he didn’t even listen to what she was saying."Who were you talking to?" Diego asked looking stern and without a single smile on his face. He knew she was up to something, she was so suspicious and had been since she showed up in Dante’s life."I don't understand, why are you asking me that kind of question?" Jane asked Diego, rolling her eyes. She was nervous that Diego had caught on something but she didn’t want to show it."Because I am a Beta and you are just a mere omega which means that I have a higher rank than you and so I have the right to ask you whatever questions that I feel like asking." Author's pov Olivia burst into tears in the restroom. She wished and hoped that she was not pregnant."God, I can't deal with a pregnancy this period and at this point in my life, where will I see the financial resources to take care of a child?" Olivia asked herself as she continued crying. Olivia had always loved children and she would always say that children are special blessings given to them by the moon goddess but Olivia knew that having a baby at this point in her life would not be a blessing but was going to be a burden to her. "Please moon goddess, please let it not be what I think it is, please, you cannot be more cruel to me in this life than you already are to me." Olivia prayed silently in tears to the moon goddess hoping that her prayers would be heard and the moon goddess would have mercy upon her but deep down inside of her, she already knew her true situation. Carlos noticed that Olivia had been in the restroom for quite a long time and he was beginning to becom

Author's pov "What?" Olivia exclaimed, surprised by what her boss had just suggested."You heard me right, you cannot keep the baby!" Her boss insisted."And why is that? Why would you suggest such a wicked act that I should kill an innocent baby." Olivia bemoaned."Olivia, you have to be reasonable! You are in no position to keep a baby! Who would take care of the baby? How will you feed and clothe the baby? Do you think taking care of a newborn baby is a walk in the park? You can barely even fend for yourself and now you want to add another mouth to feed? And what if the worst happens and you end up giving birth to twins or triplets?" Her boss asked Olivia trying to reason with her.Olivia thought about what her boss had just told her for some time and tried to consider it but then she put her hands on her stomach and gasped. How could she think of doing that to an innocent baby who did nothing wrong?"No! I will not! I will keep my baby, even if I have to beg to feed myself and th

Author's POV.When Carlos left Olivia's room, she felt a little relieved that he was going to take her place. Although she was still bothered about her boss' reaction, she didn't want to overthink it.Olivia let out a heavy sigh and slowly closed her eyes to sleep. As she was about to get drawn into utter darkness, a knock came on the door interrupting her sleep. She flinched a little and snapped her eyes open. She rubbed her eyes gently, feeling bewildered by the knock."Come in,"The door creaked open and Olivia saw her boss walking into her room. Her eyes bulged in surprise and she quickly sat up despite the dizziness that immediately overwhelmed her."Oh," She whimpered, taking her hand to her head."Hey, why did you get up like that?" her boss asked with a forced smile on her lips."Ma'am, I'm sorry for not working. I am not feeling well and the pregnancy is taking a toll on me. I know that I have no right to rest and expect a payment but please pity me," Olivia said in one breat

Author's pov "No!" Olivia's answered flatly. "I don't understand, no what?" Carlos asked her feeling surprised. "No, I will not marry you!" Olivia repeated with a note of finality in her voice."Why can't you marry me?" Carlos asked her feeling hurt by the constant rejection he was always getting from Olivia. "Look Carlos, I have told you before that there is no space for love in my heart right now, I appreciate your friendship and your help and concern but you see anything more than pure platonic friendship, I don't want it." Olivia asserted. Carlos worries about the rejection like a mask on his face. He could not hide it and it hurt him badly but he still tried to convince Olivia knowing fully well that there was nothing more that he was going to say that would change her mind."See Olivia, this is not even about love or marriage, this goes beyond yourself, you have to think of your child here..." Carlos tried explaining. "That's exactly what I am doing! Everything I am doing
