‘Okay, if you say so.’ Finally giving up, Serene uttered and I felt for her.‘Okay, you are right, maybe I like him.’‘Girl you do. I also like him because he is our second chance.’ Serene continued and I sighed again. ‘Serene, we all know how cruel this man is, he will never accept us.’ I said as a matter of fact.‘Don't lose hope, okay? Who knows, he might have some goodness in him.’ Serene suggested and I just didn't know how to explain this to her.‘Even though he has that, he will never see us as anything else than just slaves.’ ‘Who knows? He might change. We can't give up now Edna, this is our only chance to get the love of our life.’‘He has a pup that means he has a mate.’ Remembering Jack, I hurriedly told Serene. Besides, I didn't want to hurt Jack by robbing his mother's mate. Jack was a good kid who deserved the best, not pain. The shortest time I had shared with him made me realise that even in a place where there were ruthless beasts, one could still get that one bea

“It's fine, we will be back before he suspects anything.” I nodded to him though, at the back of my mind, I knew what I was doing wasn't right.I wasn't supposed to get out of this room. I shouldn't follow Jack's words. He was too little. If his father found out, not only would he be angry at me but at him too.And who knew what that mad man was capable of doing?“Come!” The little buddy turned to me and took my hands as if he were a gentleman and directed me out of the room.Avoiding the facts in my head, I decided to follow the flow.Maybe I need to be stubborn Sometimes.Walking through the hallway, I turned back and forth anxiously and at the same time, with fear in my eyes.“Don't worry, everything will be alright.” As if to sense my fears, the little boy chimed in and I nodded as I pulled him closer to me.We walked until we reached the staircases then advanced to the bottom.Looking around, I couldn't see any single soul.“Where are the workers?’ I sensed something fishy with t

CURRENTLY I paced back and forth as I waited for Alpha Dicon anxiously. What was he going to do to me today?Serene was all over me too.She was whimpering and wagging uncomfortably in my mind as I looked left and right.‘Serene, what is it? Try to calm down, everything's gonna be alright.’ I tried to calm her because the rate at which she was wiggling in me was uncomfortable to me.She didn't respond to my question nor stomped and wiggled. The rate at which she was wiggling was so uncomfortable for me to bear.It was more like she was in pain than just whimpering around when she was disturbed or stressed.‘Serene, talk to me, what is it?!” I asked again, but she ignored me completely.I really didn't know what to do.Now I could feel something wrong.Serene had never behaved like those before. She was always sassy and made me feel out of place because of her truth sometimes. But she never behaved like this before.Something must have happened to her especially after she disappeare

ANSEL POVFear was evident on her face as she glared at us.Her hands were also shaking while trying to remain confident and resilient.I knew she was terrified with the object she was holding. How did she get it?I never feared a small weapon like a bullet so I didn't care if she would shoot me because I knew it wouldn't affect me that much. But her, I was terrified for her. Because by the way she was holding it, told me she had never held something like that before. Her forehead was covered in sweat as she trembled.I could hear her heart thumbed from where I was. It was thumping vigorously that I was sure it would affect her health.“Edna, put it down!” I tried the waters as I scanned my eyes around the secret place where the weapons were stored and it was clear as a sunny day in front of me.She had discovered the weapons! That was my greatest fear and now, it has come true!‘I told you to take her out of here the first time you came here for Jack!’ Amos mind-linked me. And by th

In fact they were just little weak creatures that I showed them mercy last time by letting them go with it after harassing my body. With that in mind, I formed a malicious smile as I got up from the floor and took one step at a time as I moved closer to them “Because last time you were able to torture me as I was new and weak, doesn't mean I fear you or make you feel that you are superior tha me.” I blurted out as I stood opposite them, confidently.“Who are you to say that?” Asking, the taller maid raised her hand to slap me but I captured it with mine in the mid-air causing both of them to swallow hard while a look of terror covered their faces.“Looks like you didn't expect this, am I right?” I continued as I looked directly into her soul and that was enough to make her tremble.“Let go of her, slav…” before the other maid could finish her words, I grabbed her roughly by her hair and dragged her to the wall,“Who do you think you are, if not a slave?” I blurted out as I squeezed h
