TheonAlthough I wanted to venture off in the night itself, it was not prudent to leave for Callista’s rescue given how everyone at the party was already exhausted. So, we decided to snooze for a few hours and hit the road in the morning. The Headmistress and Matron Aldar left for the Witches Guild that night itself, and Ophelia, Leita, Kiran, and Mater Tsertinand took refuge in the castle. Knowing that Callista was safe and alive while being taken care of, although she was imprisoned, eased my mind a little, and unlike the night before I managed to get a little sleep. Early in the morning when the sun hasn't even risen yet, we get up, grab the bags we'd packed in the night before, and meet up in the dining hall.“I hope you all had a good night,” I remark as soon as I enter the dining hall. “We got a long road ahead of us, and we might not be able to rest again.”“It was alright,” Leita says, buttering a roll. “But I forgot to send Dan with Matron Aldar last night, so I have to ret

TheonWe drive for the longest time after lunch, and the snowfall only increases.“It's getting hard to see, Alpha,” Haden says at about 08:00 PM as we glide through the highway. “The snow is fogging up the windscreen.”I straighten from where I was leaning on the door to my left and peak at the front of the vehicle, and it is extremely hard to see outside. Although the wipers work to their maximum capacity, the snowfall is faster. If we keep driving at this rate, we might crash. I see more and more drivers exiting the highway. I sigh. Even the damned weather is against us. “Let's get off the highway and find a motel,” I give in to the weather. “Get some rest and continue on after the snowstorm.”“Yes, Alpha,” Haden replies. We exit the highway yet again, and this time the area we stumble into is more secluded than the last one. It's pitch black outside even though it's not that far into the night because of the winter, and we only see a handful of vehicles on the road. “The snowst

TheonAs the Alpha of the Rexellen pack as well as the Alpha King of all of North America (they make sure to mention both those facts), I get one of the beds in one of the rooms regardless of how much I deny the need to be treated so.As the oldest person in our group, Master Tsertinand gets one of the beds in the other bedroom. As my Gamma, Haden takes the other bed, although he looks extremely apologetic about it. Ophelia has to take the last remaining bed because Leita and Kiran refuse.“Please, I can squeeze into the couch with my size comfortably,” she insists. “You guys are both taller than me, and it's going to be hell for either one of you to fit in there.”“Nah, it won't be that hard. Besides, we can always take the floor,” Leita says. “I think it'll be wise for us to take the living room space. We can guard the door in that way. Who knows what will happen?”“I'm still not sure if this place does or doesn't come with a serial killer package deal, so I agree,” Kiran chimes in

Theon"Holy shit!" Haden yelps behind me and I immediately put my hands up."Don't move!" The silhouette screams with a hard, masculine voice, "Take one step forward and I will blast your face off!""Look, dude, we don't want any trouble," I say, "We're just tourists.""Oh, you're a tourist? How fucking convenient!" The silhouette says, shaking the nozzle of the gun.I can't believe there is a gun-wielding man in the motel parking lot especially after we joked about this place being the lair of an ax murderer or a serial killer. I didn't seriously think either of those will happen despite the stereotypes, but here I am with a gun aimed at my face.Who the hell is this guy? Was he trying to rob the minivan? I didn't know the crime rates around this place. Was this common? This feels like something Debbie should've warned us about before we checked in."We don't know about convenience or whatnot" Haden replies, his tone annoyed, "But that's what we are. Who the hell are you to be point

TheonWe finally crossed Wyoming without any sort of attack from hunters. As soon as we crossed the border, Ophelia let go of the enchantment she put on the hunters' bindings. They should be free to get out of their office now. Hopefully, Debbie will manage to talk some sense into her elderly father so he won't entertain the idea of coming after us. Of course, if Debbie was lying, that wouldn't happen. Hunters were known to be persistent in their causes, and when a werewolf manages to escape from them, they won't hesitate to relentlessly pursue them. Whatever. If they are stupid enough to come after us, I'll just end them. I was not fond of killing, but sometimes it was necessary, especially when the other party wanted to do the same for me or someone I cared for. Ophelia takes a deep breath and lets it go after releasing the enchantment.“Phew. That might just be the longest few hours of my life,” she comments. “You've never held a spell for that long before?” I ask her.She shak
