ALLYSA'S POV I'd woken up that morning feeling tired and nauseous and now it was washing over me as I sat to fold up my clothes. I moved into my own apartment some days back and was still in the process of getting the place together. My hand went to my head, kneading it gently as a sigh escaped my lips. The doorbell rang and immediately I knew who it was.I stood up on my feet and walked over to the door, throwing it open as Max stood with two boxes in his hands. “Hi.” He said, smiling as I made way for him to walk in.“Hey, it's still not perfect but it's becoming homey, right?” I asked, referring to the decorations and arrangements of the house.“Yeah it's looking nice, I brought lunch.” He placed the boxes on the table, and turned to face me. “You haven't eaten lunch, have you?”“I totally forgot about lunch, I wouldn't have eaten if you hadn't brought this.” I replied truthfully, walking into the kitchen as another dizzy spell hit me. I clutched the door handle properly for suppo

ALLYSA'S POV Eight months laterI sighed tiredly, stretching my hand to pick the cup as Max chuckled. I rolled my eyes at him, picking a fork with my left hand as I hauled it at him. “Have a care Allysa!” He screamed, ducking his head as the fork flew past his head.“What you get for annoying a pregnant woman, when are you driving me to the mall?” I asked and he sighed. He must have been really tired. These past few months has been hectic, fun and full of memories. Memories I'll forever cherish.“I'll take you there once I get back from work trust me and we're gonna eat out.” he replied as I scoffed. He's been acting like a father figure and even if I'd tried to stop him at the beginning he'd slowly found his way around me, finding a way to make me accept him the way he is.As he walked over to the door, I felt a sharp contraction around my lower abdomen as my face constricted. My face twitched.“Are you okay?” Max asked, walking up to me and holding my hands.“Ye__ ahhh.” I screamed a

ALLYSA'S POV My mouth opened and closed but no sound came out. Getting into a relationship with Max? Am I over Lucas already? I asked myself, staring at him as he pulled me gently out of the car with his second hand.“I'm not gonna rush you into saying anything Allysa, but know this. I love you and I love Ariel so much, I can do anything to make you both happy.” He sighed and passed the key to my door to me.I pushed the key into the keyhole and opened the door wide for him to walk in. “Welcome home sweetie.” He whispered as Ariel giggled and we both laughed.“It seems she understood what you just said. Children.” I whispered.I followed him into the pink themed bedroom and he placed her in her crib before sitting on the chair.“C..can I think about it?” “Sure you can, take your time but I'll tell you this, I'm very persistent.” He said and I chuckled. After making sure she was okay and sound asleep, we walked out of the bedroom, shutting the door quietly and moving over to the kitc

MAX POVI stood in the kitchen stir frying the sauce when the blaring tune from my phone hit my eardrums. I quickly turned down the gas and walked over to pick my phone. Thankfully Allysa and Ariel were sound asleep so I decided to prepare lunch in case she wakes up and decides that she wants to eat.I checked the screen and it was Leah.“I told you not to call me during these hours, it's still day time over here.” I said lowly, walking out of the house.“How's she? Did she accept your proposal to be her boyfriend?” She asked and I sighed.“She must have loved her husband so much, she hasn't said a word about it but I'm preparing lunch and__”“Make sure she accepts it! I'm paying you for this do not make me angry!” I scoffed.“You're paying yes but do not threaten me, I have your secrets up my sleeves and trust me if not for the huge sum? I wouldn't think about working for you!”“Make sure she accepts, buy her lots of presents, take her out, spoil her and trust me she'll be yours.”“H

ALLYSA'S POV “You're looking so beautiful this morning, I really love your outfit.” Max said, walking up to me with a single white rose as I took it and smiled at him. “Thanks Max, you picked the dress so yeah it ought to look good.” He chuckled and turned to pick Ariel from her stroller.“Let's hit the road or we're gonna be late for her christening.” O this fateful morning, I wished my mom was here, including granny and Lucas mom. Even if Lucas did something terribly wrong, they deserve to know about their granddaughter and what's going on in her life.“My family must be searching for me, don't you think so?” I asked, turning to stare at him as he sighed.“You're missing them?” He asked and I nodded.“It's difficult staying away from them, I just wish they were here to witness this great day, I really miss them.” He sighed and took me into his embrace.“You needed to heal and for that to happen, you had to move away from them, you did it for yourself. Look at it this way, you never
