Grace POV“Mom, why am I here?” I ask her as we enter the living room. My mom is wearing all black as if she has just been to a funeral and the way she is talking is freaking me right off. “Your father is coming here to sign the divorce papers today, and I needed you to be by my side,” she finally says as she pours herself a glass of vodka from the drinks cart. I watch as my mother empties the glass and then takes a deep breath. This is really happening.
