“Veronica?” She heard a familiar voice, whispering her name and she immediately opened her eyes and waited to be sure that she wasn't hallucinating and that she heard clearly.“Veronica, where are you?” She clearly heard it the second time and she immediately recognized the voice. As they got to the meeting area, they met council member Maxwell, Megan's father, sitting and scrolling through his phone as he patiently awaited the arrival of Alpha Marcus.The moment he saw the Alpha, he got up and slightly bowed to him, in respect.“Good morning, Alpha.
