DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 82~The huge contrast of his looks compared with tan, blonde Biggie was obvious. I was beginning to wonder if there might be some mistake when Biggie looked at us, beaming, and said, “He looks just like his mother.” I couldn’t stop the tears that trickled down as I watched Biggie bend down to meet his son at eye-level."Is there a more appropriate place for us to talk?” The social worker turned up her nose in obvious disdain as her eyes travelled around the bar."Go home.” Devin patted Biggie on the shoulder as he said the words. “We’ve got this, right Kylie?” He indicated the eatery with his hand.I tried not to let the panic show on my face as I nodded and smiled. Biggie thanked us profusely before turning to leave with the social worker and his son. “What the hell were you thinking?” I turned on Devin. “We don’t know anything about running a restaurant.”"It’ll be fine,” he reassured me as he made himself at home behind the bar.He was

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 84~Bernice’s face lit up in true happiness when she greeted Devin. They hugged and started chatting. Just then, Hailey, Devin’s usually friendly sister arrived and warmly hugged her mother and brother. “Hello,” she said stiffly to me, I’m sure they must have all heard abut my predicaments.“Hi Hailey,” I smiled at her, but she did not return the gesture.“Where’s Nathalie?” Devin asked her, obviously disappointed that his niece wasn’t there.“She’s with her dad today,” Hailey responded. At Devin and Bernice’s surprised looks, she elaborated. “It’s not his normal day, but he wanted to take her to his new church. He’s been pretty reasonable lately, so I figured it would be a nice gesture to be a little flexible with the schedule.”“How out-of-character and oddly nice of you,” Devin teased her.“Yeah, well, now he owes me,” she grinned at him.“Ah, the truth comes out,” Devin responded. The siblings stopped ribbing each other abruptly as Chr

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 86~Kim was in the living room and dressed, for the first time all week, when we got home. “How did it go?” She posed the question the instant we walked in the door.“Surprisingly well,” I joked, which made Devin and I start laughing again. At Kim’s perplexed look, I managed to say, “It was so awful,” before I burst into tears.“Oh, Sweetie.” She wrapped her arms around me.“Well, I gotta get in on this,” Devin said as he engulfed both of us in his strong embrace. We ended up all laughing as Devin squeezed us tighter and tighter.“You going back to work tomorrow?” I broached the subject tentatively with Kim.“Yes, I was thinking that the three of us should go to Biggie’s for girls’ night.” She paused to smile at Devin, confirming that he was included, before continuing. “It might be a good chance for me to talk to Biggie and meet Jade before going back to work tomorrow.”Devin beamed. “I knew that if I stuck around long enough, you would e

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 88~I tried all week not to stress about the news that Grandma Kris had shared with me. I knew it wasn’t good for the baby for me to worry, but I couldn’t seem to get my mind off it. I was at home alone with Aire for the first time in a long while. Kim was working the dinner shift, and Devin was hard at work on a boat. He seemed to go in phases with his craft, and he was currently in the midst of an Uber productive spurt.I had a whole Saturday evening to myself, with nothing to do rather than play with Aire, but he is still very tiny. I donned my short, scruffy but comfy faded pink robe and tried to watch some television, but could only find reality shows and infomercials. Nothing caught my attention, so I wandered to Aire’s room and sat down on the floor. The room was well furnished to suit a baby’s needs. The chalky white walls were bare of any pictures or other decorations, so I decided that would be an exciting project to start on toni

DIRTY AFFAIR WITH HIS IDENTICAL TWIN Chapter 90~The dots lit up, and I waited to see what his response would be. My leg was jiggling with nervous energy. “That’s a typical, Kylie Wintour. "You are the only woman I want. I haven’t even been able to think about anyone else since being with you.” that was his only reply.I stared at his words, knowing that he wasn’t being honest. Was I going to doom myself to a life of constantly wondering if he was telling me the truth, or was I going to call him out on it? It wasn’t a difficult decision. “I know that you’re lying.”"I’m not.” He quickly responded. “You’re the only one for me. I don’t want anyone else.” I stared at his words. I so wished that they could be true."Don’t lie to me.” I was angry that he was saying the words that I so desperately wanted to believe, when I knew that they couldn’t possibly be true."I saw you with another woman at your house the day that I came to tell you that I still love you and would like to have some
