Olivia’s POV André was waiting outside the door and I could hear him pacing around anxiously. The nurse attended to me and asked him to leave the room while she attended to me. He had initially refused, but finally, he gave in to her request. He wanted her to do everything that she possibly could to make sure that I was fine.Soon, the door clicked open, and André came in. The nurse gave him a single nod and then left. He came into the room and saw me lying in bed. I felt so weak and my skin was as pale as a ghost. I gave him a weak smile, and he sat down at the edge of my bed.“How are you feeling?” he asked, softly stroking my hair and looking at my weak face with concern and love.“I feel better. The nurse just said I needed to get some rest.”He smiled back at me and kissed my forehead. I felt a sinking feeling in my heart. André was going through all this animosity with Jonas because of me. Suddenly, there was a soft knock on the door.“Come in,” he said lightly. The door ope

Olivia’s POVHe held me in his arms for a while, but soon, he got a phone call.“Olivia, I have to go. I have to get the men together to face Jonas.”“I was reluctant, but I finally agreed. He went out and asked me to rest.I lay down and stared at the ceiling as the door clicked shut. Everything was happening so fast. Jonas had planned an attack against André and me with the entire state of Elvis Pine. I knew André was brave but it didn't make me any less scared. I didn't want anything to happen to him. The door opened, and I turned my head in fright, but it was the nurse who came in, and she had a soft smile on her face.“What are you doing here?” I asked. “I thought you left.”She gave a slow nod and then sat on the chair by my bedside.“I did, but I couldn't help but come back. Forgive me for eavesdropping, but I was simply worried about you.”“Worried? About me? Why?”The woman took a deep breath and leaned forward to me.“I have worked for the Solvan family for years and it is

Olivia's POV I looked up at him with tears in my eyes. I was scared for his life. I didn't want him to die in the war. I wanted him back. If there was a way to stop him, I would jump at the idea.“Olivia, talk to me. What's wrong?" I took a deep breath, and he wiped the tears from my eyes.“Did I hurt you? Did you not enjoy me?" I shook my head and sniffed. He was perfect. I loved every second o spent with him."I'm scared.”He looked at me with his eyebrow raised."Scared? Why are you scared?”He pulled me in closer and wrapped his arm around me.“I'm scared of the war. I don't want to lose you." He stroked my face, and his eyes looked sad.“I'm scared too. I want to come back to you. I want to have you in my arms and see our child grow big and strong.–” He rubbed my stomach and kissed my face.“–You have no idea how much our growing family means to me. I want to give you the world, Olivia, but I can't do that if I'm worried about your safety.”I held him tighter, cupped his fac

Olivia's POVI sat in the bedroom, staring out of the open window. Breakfast lay on the bed side table and there was only a little nibble of the waffle. I had lost my appetite. I had begged André to let me attend the meeting with him but he said no and bribed me with kisses. My face flushed as I remembered it but it did nothing to calm my nerves. My mind was going haywire. I didn't think shifting the war to the next new moon was a great idea. Jonas was very resourceful. It was bad enough that we had to fight him and now, he wanted to go to war at a time where Jonas and his men would be at their strongest as well.“Calm down, Olivia. Just breathe and calm down." As much as I repeated my mantra, it did nothing to calm me down. I hoped someone at the meeting could talk him out of it. Doran or Pierre, perhaps.I got up and paced around the room. My fingers knotted themselves and I could feel beads of sweat on my forehead. It wasn't long before my worry got the better of me and I finally

Olivia's POV I was up early the next day as the first rays of the sun shone on my face. André was still asleep next to me. His arm wrapped around me and his face buried in my neck.I was able to free my arm from the entrapment. The cut has healed up and only a red patch of skin was left in its wake. I sighed and looked at her vial that sat on the bedside table. My crimson blood gleamed back at me from its crystal bottle. I couldn't forget the bewilderment on André’s face when he saw me take the blood.I sighed again and turned to André who had stirred in his sleep. I was still so worried about this war. I just wanted him to be safe. The sun’s rays hit the bottom and it's light reflected into colours of the rainbow that shine on the walls and my face. I would give it to Alvida when I got out of bed. André's arm tightened around me a little more. I couldn't help but smile. I would see Alvida ‘if’ I got out of bed.“Why are you smiling?" His eyes fluttered open and the sun made his eme
