***HAILEY'S POV***I was ordered by Derrick to pick Vani from school, he only gives such orders whenever he senses danger. He kept ignoring my questions, ever since his little witch came over to the palace, he became quite weird and crazy. She took everything from me, ruining the plans I had in the future.Vani got into the car, slamming the door angrily. She wasn't in a good mood, well she is never in a good mood. All that changed ever since her new mommy arrived at the mansion." What is it dear?" I asked, sounding really nice. I need to get on her good side, that's the only way to win the heart of her father right? That's what every kid craves for anyway." Why are you asking? You never care, it's too late. I can never learn to love you." She scoffed." What are you saying? I was just asking a question, I am your father's Beta and it is my duty to make you happy. " I said, with a smile on my face. She wasn't buying the act and I was already getting sick." Back to the palace Scott!

Chapter 12Vani's POVI walked into a coven in the forest, it was empty, dark and scary. I didn't know how I got here." Hello!" I called out but got no response." Hello!" I repeated, unsure of my next action. I saw a little boy hiding behind a tree, staring at me with sad eyes, he was looking quite untidy and unhappy too." Hey, little boy. Do you mind telling me where everyone is...." He interrupted me by pointing in a direction. It was a hill, it was on fire and they were a group of men armed. They were trying to save some kids but got held by some mean men." What is this place? Why are they hurting them? They are kids for crying out loud. " I cried out. The little boy giggled, shocking his head in pity." Are you parents over there?" I asked, walking closer to him. I stared into his eyes, they were bright and colorful, they were just like mine. They had multi colors of blue and brown in there." Mama!" He uttered, pointing in the same direction." What is your name?" I asked, my

Sylvia POVDerrick paced worriedly in the room. He has refused to say a word ever since, it's midnight already and no flying witch can be seen. I think all these should be a joke." I don't think it was right to tell her about the witches." I said, I couldn't just hold it back anymore, I know she is his beta and has the right to know everything about him but not everything." What do you mean by that? She is my Beta, I had to tell her Incase I Never return or maybe Incase something happened. " He said, his voice filled with fear." You have to calm down . Nothing is going to happen to us, why do you just keep having this bad feeling huh? We are going to be fine. I assure you that. " I pulled him close to myself, his hands were trembling." I think, it's best If you settle your dispute with Hailey, I can't grow a pack if you both won't ever agree and...."" And she isn't ready to settle our dispute. " She said, cutting him off. What is she doing here? Is she also listening to our conve

Derrick's POVI stared at the witches in shock. What do they mean by one of their kind? It's obvious that she is a wolf, I can sense her, that is obviously the reason she has a mate. Witches don't have mates, they are just like the humans that ceased to exist centuries of years ago. They just get laid with whomever they choose, Sylvia, stared at the head wizard speechlessly, she was obviously confused and surprised. " What do you mean by your kind? She doesn't possess powers like your kind, she is different! '' I said, trying to stay neutral. " She is the witch Alpha Derrick." He replied calmly." We thought she would never exist anymore, she is a white witch, a rare witch who possesses the main power of our ancestors. She is a reincarnation. " He added, I gave him a questioning look." What do you mean by that? I don't even know what's going on here, we want to leave! Take us back to the palace. " She ordered, it's obvious she wasn't having any of their words. She was offended and

Sylvia POVThe dining room was quiet, there wasn't a sound Heard, just scrubbing of plates and hitting cutleries. Vani has been quiet the whole time, keeping a straight face, that is so unlike her. After we returned from the coven, Derrick had to choose to keep his distance. I feel so disgusted and ashamed of myself, reincarnation is just a mere word, I never knew it really happens." Vani, are you okay?" I asked, breaking the silence. She dropped down her cutleries walking out of the room. I stared at Derrick for answers but he remained mute ignoring the actions of his daughter." Just let her be Sylva, she would come around." He replied, his eyes fixed on his plate." Why don't you just focus on your meal instead? She has always been like this before your arrival, it's not something new." Hailey sighed." It isn't something new?" I repeatedly tried to process her words." But, it is now. She has something bothering her, she barely even touches her food, aren't you concerned about t

Sylvia's POV" Leave now you've got the chance!" The voice repeats, sending shivers down to my spine. Why the hell is it so dark? And why would the Alpha lock up a witch in here, not just any witch but an old witch? Does this have to do with the connection or deal his father made with the witches some years ago? I walked into the darkness, watching my steps carefully, I can't take the chance of missing a step. I didn't even inform anyone that I was coming over to this place. Oh! Moon goddess! I might be kidnapped by someone, but my instincts kept advising me to go in further." Who is there?" I asked, my voice echoed in the darkness.I saw a dim light at the end of the tunnel, so I walked towards it. I saw a woman in a cage who was dressed in white. She looked neat and had a spalling gold skin. " What the hell are you?" I asked, as I stared at her in shock. " Oh! You are more beautiful than I thought Sylvia. I've been waiting for you. What do you want to know dear? " She asked, her
