The Alpha's Redemption

SILVIA'S POV

I woke up this morning as a mere wolf, with an obligation to serve my pack. But, all I am right now, is a prisoner, bound and defenseless, at the mercy of the person who had nothing to do with me. I should have known better rather than to attend the mating ceremony, my late mother always preached against.

The icy, rusty, old chain pierced through my skin, as I struggled for freedom, serving as a continual reminder of his treachery. I shivered as the tiny legs of the roach moved up my thigh, tingling my skin, and my mind raced with thoughts of his duplicity and his end.

I kicked the roach of my leg angrily, but as I did so, the chains rattled around my legs, causing me to yell In pain and agony. I had him in my thoughts, my mate, the Alpha of my very own pack. I have always waited for this moment to come, the time I would finally get to stare at my mate in the eye. I never knew the consequences were a bit brutal, to my kind.

How could he reject me in front of everyone? He could have just done that, without hurting us or leaving scars on our body. With a cry of pain and regret, my wolf asked.

It all began on a fateful and joyous day. I never knew that finding my mate was going to be my doom and probably the end of me, with me shackled and defenseless and her—the person I always prayed to meet in person. —rejecting me and turning me against my very own kind. .

I bowed my head and watched in amusement, as the roach used its tiny legs to grab hold of the chains, trying to break me free. I found this funny, releasing a dry chuckle.

The flashes and memories came back on their own , causing my eyes to shutter on their own.

" I can feel my mate, she is pretty close to the crowd!" He announced, as everyone gasped, while some starred in suspense.

"Mate," We yelled in Union. It took minutes to process what just happened. I spitted, staring at me in disgust.

" A low-ranked wolf? Is that what your moon goddess has to offer?" He questioned, pushing me into the crowd.

Despite the fact that I've been dreaming of this moment to come, all that vanishes the moment he tried to devour me.

" Let me kill her, I want to get rid of this curse! How dare she? How dare you boldly stand in front of me and call me mate?" He asked, while I stared at his fangs and claws, which were ready to grip me.

The guards took me away from the crowd, chaining me up, like a thief... The crowd started in pity, knowing the hard core consequences I'm about to face.

The Elders of our pack tried to talk him out of his madness, but he paid no ears to anyone. He saw me as a curse and a mistake to get rid of.

"I'm Sorry, Alpha Germany. I know, I'm just a mere wolf. Not from a family that is well recognized by your pack, I plead for your forgiveness. I said, begging on my knees, praying he would at least hear me out. " I know that you see me as nothing but an abomination to you, but please spare my life. I'm the only one left in my family." I said, in a trembling voice, tears rolling down my cheeks.

The crowd went silent, the commotion seemed to reduce as I spoke for the very first time. The Alpha had no expression on, all he wanted at that moment was to cut off our mate bond.

" No one dares interrupt a mating ceremony! It was supposed to be a place of joyous moments and celebration." He said, taking a cup of wine from a tray beside him. " But, you ruined it from everyone and deserve to be punished!"

Whispers and suggestions could be heard from all the Conners of the room. I heard him say he is the Alpha and Alphas make decisions themselves.

"Continue the feast!" He cried out, my voice resonating along the hallway. "Let tonight be a night to remember, and eat and drink as much as you can!" He chuckled.

The air was charged with suspense as no one dared to celebrate but watch.

" Take her away and make sure she isn't just beaten to stupor, rather, make sure she begs for death!" He ordered his right hand man, Jarvis.

He instructed his guards to take me into the dungeon.

I can't believe this is our end. My wolf in my thoughts whispered, "But there's this feeling of dreadful hope of survival," and I furrowed my brows.

I don't think so, I scoffed.

"I'm not sure. "Perhaps it was our nervousness, we are lucky he didn't instruct his men to behead us. ," she said. I nodded slowly, unable to reply as I was pushed into the tunnel.

" You, little brat! You should have never come to the mating ceremony. Maybe, you would have been having a cozy day!" Jarvis teased.

I gave her a little smile but shook my head, responding, "Oh, no. I bet you did the same, that's why you still don't have a mate." Try growing up Jarvis, we are all prisoners!" I said, but was interrupted by a punch.

He laughed back at that. "Oh, you don't talk back to me that way. Your life is in my hands now little pup. ."

" Increase the beating until she passes out. ," her ordered.

"You are nothing but a devil! . I yelled, "I'll make sure you pay for this with your life! I cried out, as his men, scratched on my body, as blood gushed out of my skin.

" Please stop!" I begged, as the pain only grew worse.

Jarvis, released a punch on my face and with that, everything went blur.
