Logan's POVMy date with Vivian never went well. I never considered taking her on a date, but I did so for the sake of our wedding anniversary. I've been thinking about Emily since my mother told me about how she met her in Rome. I am sure she is having a great time with Collin right now.To see how jealous I was, I spent most of my evenings searching the internet for recent posts of them. Their vacation has only lasted two days, but I am eager for her to come back, mostly for one reason— I learned that Emily had turned down my proposal for a partnership. It's unbelievable that she would do such a thing. I didn't even know she was the CEO of the imperial corporation when I asked for a business proposition. I recently learned that she turned down my proposal. I am aware that she hated me, which is why she did this. Here I am, looking all forlorn as I sat in my office chair with my gaze fixed on the broad screen of my laptop. I read between the lines of the content in my email– A reje

Emily's POVAs the festivities continued, I smiled, my face filled with a hint of satisfaction. I wouldn't deny that I felt great after putting Mrs Michelson in her place. I can tell she's still very much surprised to hear those comments I made. She stole several glances in my direction and I kept this mild sardonic smile on my face to make her know that I'm not in any way bothered by all the mockery she threw at me.I took more drinks from a sever. Settling my lips on the rim, my smile deepened as I drank slowly with my gaze fixed on her.She gulled down the lump in her throat, her face flashing with rage and embarrassment. She mumbled and I sneered, ignoring the litany of curses rolling out of her mouth. "Hey there!" A familiar voice pierced the silence and i didn't need to be told before I realized who it was. My smile got deeper as I spun around with my gaze settling on a stunning figure in front of me. It was Vanessa Avogadro, the famous Italian jeweler and the host of the ev

“You look so beautiful, Miss Emily. It’s so nice to see you,” Lorenzo mumbled after taking my hands for a handshake. His eyes delved into the depths of my soul, and I froze under his heated gaze. Those constant smirks he wears on his face and the mysterious aura he possesses disturbs me and makes me even more curious about him.Forcing a smile on my face, I replied, “Thanks, Mr. Lorenzo. It is nice to see you as well. I’ve been so eager to see you and now, I am delighted I finally get to meet you before I get to leave for the States tomorrow,”“That’s great,” He whispered as he took his seat in front of me.. Collin sat beside me and his seat was opposite to Lorenzo’s supposed girlfriend. The handsome servers in white shirts and gloves brought our order with smiles on their faces. I stared at the exquisite, savory dish of pasta, fried chicken, paste, and spaghetti Bolognese on the shiny porcelain plates. The aroma wafted through the air, causing my stomach to churn with excitement. Fru

Emily’s POVWe had a pleasant flight back to the United States. Despite my satisfaction at seeing Lorenzo at last, I was still a little restless and interested in learning more about him.. I can’t tell why I find this mysterious aura surrounding him. And as for Collin, I could sense how uneasy he was whenever Lorenzo responded to some of my questions. This has led me to two conclusions–Do more investigations about Collin, Lorenzo and his friends and Speak to Collin about everything that is bothering me.Collin clasped his hands on mine after we alighted from the plane. I forced a smile on my face after locking eyes with him. He tore his gaze from mine as he took it to his wristwatch. Bringing his wrist to his face, he wore a frown on his face as he checked the time. With concern on my face, I wrapped my arms around him and asked, “What’s wrong, Collin? Don’t you think we should board a cab right now?”We strolled away from the terminal to the airport, our gaze sweeping at every face

Collin's POVThe message Emily showed me left me in a panic state. I've been worried and curious to know who threatened her and even if I'm to begin an investigation, I'm sure it'll lead to someone I'm acquainted with. There is just one person I suspect to be jealous of our relationship. There is just one person I'm certain is capable of sending such disturbing message. I reclined on my office chair, my mind swirling with lots of unanswered questions. My thoughts were trapped in an endless loop of anger, rage, and disbelief. The office felt silent for a long moment as I reflected on the message, with only the ticking sound of the wall clock piercing the silence.I've comforted Emily by assuring her of tracking the person behind the message. I didn't need to track anything because I already know who is behind it. “Sir,” a voice pierced the silence, shattering my thoughts. Like the pieces of a puzzle, my eyes locked with the stunning lady standing in front of me in a pristine smart su
