Michelle's POV Tears threatened to spill from my eyes. Davis continued, “She was delusional and obsessed with my son that she couldn't imagine a life without him.” “If this is the case, why didn't you come to the police immediately to report her constant talk of murder? Also, when Late Miss Annabel pointed an accusing finger at the both of you, why didn't you come out to say this?” George did not expect that. He stuttered for a few moments. “Mr George Davis kept silent and hid under the guise that Miss Annabel was suffering from some mental issues and killed her child herself.” My lawyer proposed, “Coming out now after four years to claim that the late woman was right all along is certainly an offence punishable by law.” “Objection, my lord.” “Objection granted.” “My client did share his concern with me. He wanted to speak out and tell the world what kind of a woman Mrs Michelle Davis is; however , he was quiet because he feared for his life.” “For a woman who speaks of murder

Michelle's POV The drive home was filled with tension. Annabel did not spare me a glance and kept her head towards the window all through the drive. Upon getting to the mansion, Scott stopped me in front of the house.“I will be leaving shortly,” he said, “I'm glad that you're here, at least you'll be able to look after her for me.”I shook my head, “I can't. I doubt she would even listen to me. You have to stay.”“Mich, Myron won't allow it. It's his house, and,” he sighed in pain, “He's gonna use her memory loss as an advantage. With no one there she's prone to his manipulation.”“It will be better if you stay.”I wasn't fully convinced but I understood his words. “Do not hesitate to ring for me should there be any problems.” He ended and then turned to leave.“Scott,” I stopped him.I smiled, “Thank you. For everything.”He smiled back, “My lawyer is still preparing the divorce papers. I'll let you know when it's ready.”I nodded and watched him leave. When I went into the house

Annabel's POV Speaking to business men helped me recall the strategies I'd learnt in London. Myron also helped in introducing most of them behind their backs, so it doesn't appear I have lost my memory.A few of them invited me for private dinner parties where we could discuss the way forward for our businesses. Without Myron, I'd dare not go as my memory isn't reliable at the moment.I looked around the room for Scott but could not find him. I took a wine glass and downed the content, wondering if he was probably with Michelle right now seeing as she too isn't at the gala.“Oh, Mrs Wilson!” Mr Fabian approached me and Myron, shaking my hand warmly, “I am glad you are fully well from your accident.”“Thank you, sir.”He nodded and turned to Myron to discuss a few things when suddenly the room swayed before me and everyone in it whirled.I touched Myron lightly on the back, “I..I need to get some refreshments.”To Mr Fabian, I said, “Please, excuse me.”He nodded. I cut my way through

Annabel's POV I moved to a secluded area, the tears threatening to fall. It was hard not knowing anything and everyone just feels out to play you. After Myron's convincing words and his honesty over Scott and Michelle, I thought I could trust him but his attitude towards Michelle was highly suspicious. His gaze upon her lingered long enough, it almost made me wonder if they'd been fucking while I was unconscious. Now that I think of it, I really wouldn't have minded except that she destroyed my relationship with Scott and now that I found Myron to help put back the pieces, she's out to ruin it again.“Hey,”I looked up and was shocked in awe for a moment. From afar, Scott did not look as breathtaking when he's close. Or could it be his cologne doing their magic with my hormones? “Are you hiding out here or does the party bore you the way it does me?” “What do you want?” I shot at him. He stared at me, rather surprised. “Must I want something before I should talk with you?”I huff

Michelle's POV I woke up with a serious headache settling in. Whether it was caused of my fantasizing of Myron in my dreams or the alcohol I downed after the gala, I had no idea. The door to my room dashed open. I was too weak to even see who it was but the voice was recognizable.“Ma’am, I knew you'd wake up this way,” Justicia was saying as she came and stopped beside the bed with a tray of hot soup in her hands. “So I already had this prepared to help ease the aches.”I smiled as I massaged my temples, “I am grateful to have you, Justicia.”She helped me to it and I took the soup at once. Not long after did the impact begin to set in. I could see Justicia clearly now and the world seemed to make more sense that it did few minutes ago.Looking around, I recognized the room. It was my room. My father's house. I did not remember coming here.“Justicia?”“Yes ma’am?” She answered while setting the room in order.“How did I get back here last night?” I asked, while struggling to recall
