Chapter 10: he's not a baby The evening breeze blew across the city, twinkling stars littering the partly gloomy sky. It was dinner time for the Reynolds; the family gathered at the table, chatting away as they ate their food. The topic switched from the increasing prices of groceries to politics, then back to the Kincaid party. No one ever got over that one. Playing with her food with a fork, Cindy stirred the discussion to a different area: "Can you believe it? Alissa in the arms of another man. Hahaha! I never thought she would be so sly." Upon hearing this, Shane's hands stopped midway; he had picked up pig skins to add to Cindy's plate. The mention of Alissa left a bitter taste in his mouth; instead of serving Cindy, he shoveled the food into his mouth, trying to aggressively chew his feelings away.
