LEONARD KISH'S POV,My heart skipped a beat as soon as I saw Elsa. She stood at the foyer, clutching her purse, her gaze fixed intently on me in an intensity I had never seen before.Every other thing blurred and the only sound I heard was the gentle thump of my heartbeat which grew louder in my ears with every passing seconds. I couldn't take my eyes off her, and as she began to walk towards me, my heart raced. She wasn't just beautiful, she was elegant and classy and I couldn't help but stare, I wanted to go to her, to hold her hand and walk her to the car, but my feet felt glued to the floor until she stood right in front of me."Leonard!" She called, searching my eyes. The hostility in her eyes were gone and only then did I snap out of my daze."You. Look. Beautiful." I mumbled, unable to stop myself. She didn't say anything to me, which I perfectly understood. Instead she kept searching my face.I silently puffed out a breath to steady myself. "Come on, let's go, or we'll be la

LEONARD KISH'S POV, Without waiting for another second, I walked up to them. Since they were so engrossed in their sorrow, I cleared my throat to catch their attention. "I'll do it," I said, allowing the words to flow from my heart. They all turned to face me as soon as the words left my lips. Daniella's whimpering ceased and her eyes popped open. Her shock and surprise were clearly expressed on her face. As for Orlando, his jaw dropped, he seemed totally speechless. Elsa was more surprised than both of them, but she kept searching my face, disbelief written all over her features. The furrow in her forehead indicated her struggle, and I could tell she was wondering if I really meant those words. I shifted uneasily, and adjusted my tie which suddenly felt tighter. "We'll stand in the place of your Sponsors." I began to speak again. "Me and my wife, Elsa. We'll do it." Thick silence stretched over us, which made me uncomfortable, I just knew I had to keep speaking until they

ELSA ELKINS' POV."Elsa, I was just..." She began to say.Oh shut up mother! I really wanted to tell her that, but she was cut off by some of her friends who had called her name.I turned towards the direction the voice came from to see Aunty Adrienne, and two other women."Adrienne!" My mother exclaimed, her smile broadening. She quickly rushed towards them.I sighed. Was it really a timely intervention? I doubted, since it left me alone with Leonard who seemed to be enjoying my annoyance. But then, it gave me an opportunity to confront it."Are you happy now? Have you gotten what you want?" My questions tumbled out of my lips, firm and raw.I stared straight into his eyes, disgusted by his games. But the smile on his face froze as soon as he heard me, and his brows furrowed slightly. He seemed confused, but I wouldn't be fooled."Don't try to play dumb, Leonard," I quickly stated. "Isn't this what you want? You want to be the saint in the sight of everyone!"Leonard's brows twitch

LEONARD KISH'S POV,"I'm at a wedding, Jessica." I told her.She had called to ask me out for a date, just like we used to.Since she had been calling nonstop during the Mass, I had thought it was something important, so I excused myself from Elsa as soon as I stepped out of the church."A wedding?" She asked, surprised. "Since when did you start attending a wedding?"I shrugged. "Well... today," I replied, scratching my forehead."That's so sweet, Leo." Jessica chirped, chuckling. "Is it a client's wedding? How come I don't know about it?" I could hear the excitement ringing in her tone, and I knew she was only trying to get closer after what happened the other day."It's not a client's wedding." I replied calmly. "The lady is very important to my wife, so I came along with her."I wanted to pass a message across to her; I wanted her to realize it was time she gave up on me. "Your wife?" Jessica asked, she couldn't hold her disbelief. "You mean Elsa?" I smiled knowingly. "Yes Sic

ELSA ELKINS' POV,By the time I finished speaking, my lips had spread into a broad smile, and my heart thumped a little faster than usual.I wiped the tears that rolled down my cheeks, the tears of joy I couldn't contain."You don't have to be thankful to me." Leonard said. "I just want you to be happy from now on, and no matter what it'd cost me to see it come to pass, I'm willing to do it." His words grew deeper as if they were soaked in emotions. My smile froze - It was the gravity in his words that made my smile freeze. His words sent me speechless and at the same time stirred a mix of emotions within me, but then, I kept reminding myself that he shouldn't be trusted.Silence followed, but my mind was noisy, I kept thinking what had gotten over him."Why are you really doing this?" I asked, my voice coated with the emotions his words had stirred within me.Leonard lifted himself, and rested his weight against his elbow."Look Elsa," He said, his voice deeper than usual, his gaze
