She’s my plaything

Dennis“Hey, I’m at the door…” Mia’s voice sounded over the phone just before she hung up.I got up, hurried to the door and opened it while she strolled in, with a naughty smile plastered across her face. “That was fast. I wasn’t expecting you for another five minutes.” I let out as I closed the door and then turned back to find her naked.Mia had stripped naked and not even her lingerie was left on her body. It was all bare for my eyes to feed on.“Like what you see?” She asked when she saw my mouth opened and my eyes glued on her body. She always wore tight dresses that hugged every curve in her body, so I always knew she had a great body. I just never imagined it would look like what was standing before me. She was a beautiful work of art. To think I was having a rethink before she arrived. Sonia had crossed my mind as I pulled into the hotel, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do that to her. I changed my mind and was going to call things off with Mia just as she arrived. I had

I wish I could love you, Jeff…

SoniaA broad smile lined my face as the plane touched down in Atlanta. My heart raced a bit as I thought about what Jeff’s reaction would be when he sees me. I kept this a secret from him until the last minute. Not like I wanted to though, Dennis had pissed me off, and I needed to get away from him to clear my head. It wasn’t until the last minute when I was about boarding that I called Jeff. He was surprised but also happy, especially since he had asked me to come pay him a visit, but I came up with an excuse.“Are you sure you're okay with it?” I asked, pretending like I was okay to cancel if he didn't want it.“Of course, babe. Don’t worry about anything. I’ve got it all handled.” Hearing him say that floored me. Talk about a man being so intentional about his woman.True to his word, the moment I stepped off the plane, a polished black town car was waiting for me, the driver holding a sign with my name. My surprise turned into wonder as I sank into the luxurious leather seats. T

Time to reap the consequences of his actions

FreyaMy night was longer than usual. It felt like it was never going to end, as I found it so hard to find sleep. After the tense kiss Victor and I shared, my head and heart started conflicting with each other. I just couldn’t stop thinking about the whole thing. I thought it was all gone after the cold face wash that made me sleep right off, but then, I woke up thinking it was morning, only to find out I had only slept for three minutes.“Just three minutes!” I had screamed and then buried my face in the pillow, which muffled my scream. For about an hour, I lay there and stared blankly at the roof. Falling in love with Victor was a bad idea… not like bad, bad, but it would definitely make me lose focus. I tend to do that when I’m in love. That’s why my past relationships always ended in my heart getting broken. It’s the same thing that happened with Dennis. I was too in love to notice the big red flag he was wrapped in. I just wanted to love and be loved in return…After tossing

I just made the biggest mistake of my life!

DennisI found myself smirking when my phone rang and Mia’s name came up. A quick recollection of the previous night came to my mind and I smirked again.“Mia, what’s up?” I asked, leaning back in my chair, barely paying attention as I scanned through emails.“I thought I said you shouldn’t call or do anything until I reach out to you. Have you forgotten what you are so soon?” I asked, trying to be naughty, but she seemed not in the mood for jokes, Her voice was hesitant at first, then rushed, like she couldn’t get the words out fast enough. “That’s not why I called.” She cut in sharply.“Dennis, I just overheard something... Freya’s transferring you to the new branch. Effective immediately. I thought you should know.” She added while I immediately froze, the phone nearly slipping from my hand. “What?” I hissed.“She had a meeting with the board this morning. It’s done, Dennis. She told her assistant to start the paperwork.”My blood boiled. “Are you sure about this?”“Yes,” Mia whis

Is this how I die?

FreyaI waited till Dennis was out of my compound before I made my way into the house. I slammed the door shut behind me, the echo vibrating through the house. My heart was pounding, my cheek still stung as I hurried upstairs into the room, but it was nothing compared to the fire roaring in my chest. He hit me. Dennis. The man I once trusted, once loved. I never thought he could sink so low. I had done nothing but love him and showed him time after time how much he meant to me, but he dared put his hands on me?Storming back into the living room, I grabbed the half-full glass of whiskey I’d left on the bar cart earlier. I didn’t even care about the burn as I took a long, hard sip. The liquid scorched my throat, but it didn’t dull the anger. Nothing could. How dare he? Accusing me of cheating? Like I owe him any loyalty? Like I wasn’t already humiliated by his reckless affair with Sonia. The betrayal cut deeper than any slap ever could. And now, he had the audacity to come into my home,

Is it even worth it?

Victor“Urghhh… I think I should rest now.” I muttered to myself as I sent the final copies of the contract to my assistant. I should have worked on the document at the office, but I was so occupied with some urgent paperwork. I got home so tired, but I couldn’t go to bed yet, not until I went over the fifty pages of document, signed it and then sent it to my assistant to finish up. I turned off my laptop, and stretched as I made my way into the bathroom for a quick shower.I got back into the room just as my phone started to ring. I moved over to the desk where I left it, and glancing over, I saw the name flashing on the screen. It was one of my informants. “Yes, speak!” I let out firmly.“Sir,” he said urgently. “Dennis was at Freya’s house.” “He... hit her,” the voice hesitated, as if bracing for my reaction. “What? What happened? Is she okay?”“Yes, she is. She handled it.” He replied and I felt my anger surge.“What the heck do you mean she handled it? You mean you guys sta

A symbol of my love

SoniaI opened my eyes and found myself wrapped in the warmth of Jeff’s arms, his steady heartbeat a soothing rhythm against my ear. The golden morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, bathing the room in a soft glow. I tilted my head to look up at him, and he was already awake, watching me with that slow, crooked smile that always made my stomach flutter. “Good morning, beautiful,” he murmured, his voice husky and filled with tenderness. “Good morning,” I whispered back, unable to stop the smile spreading across my face. “Why were you staring so hard?” I quizzed while he smiled. “I just can’t get over how beautiful it is to wake up next to your beautiful face every morning. I love you so much.” He chimed in while I blushed. “And I love you too.” I chimed in too, while his fingers brushed a strand of hair from my cheek, and then his lips captured mine in a kiss that deepened until it felt like the world outside the bed didn’t exist. One kiss turned into another, and bef

This isn’t the Freya I know…

Dennis I woke up still with the thought of Freya troubling my soul. Last night was one of the longest nights I’ve had my entire life.I barely slept. The memory of Freya’s eyes, cold and distant, haunted me all night. I couldn’t believe what had happened, couldn’t believe I had let things get so out of control. I had let my emotions get the best of me. I may not love Freya that much, but a part of me still beats for her, and that was the first time I would be putting my hands on a woman. She brought out the beast in me. If only she hadn’t tried to prove stubborn… but then, I should have controlled myself too, knowing what I stood to gain. Now, I’m afraid she might have slipped through my fingers, and if I didn’t act fast, I would lose everything I had been working toward… the lifestyle, the power, her wealth. One thing though, I knew Freya better than anyone, all it would take was the right words, the right gesture, and she would forget all about what happened. It always worked, and

A girl who wasn’t me!

Sonia“Love you too, babe.” Jeff and I kissed each other goodbye. He wrapped me more tightly, and I had to wriggle my way out of his arms. He wasn’t ready to part ways with me yet.“No… babe!” He whined like a little baby, making me laugh.“Can’t afford to miss my flight…” I let out and then hurried away before he could get his hands on me again.I stopped briefly and then turned to blow him a kiss before running off.The hum of the plane engines was a dull backdrop to the whirlwind of thoughts in my mind. Jeff. His smile, the way he looked at me, the way he touched my belly, as if the baby inside was already his whole world. It was almost too much. He loved me, that much was clear. And he was ready to give me anything. I should be happy. Anyone else would be thrilled to have a man like him. Kind, rich, devoted, romantic… just name it, Jeff has all and more. But the truth gnawed at me, relentless and cruel. I was in love with Dennis. We are married and love each other.I glanced out

The three of us…

Call me back immediately you get this, it’s urgent!” I yelled into the phone as I walked out of Freya’s office and got into the car.“Damn you, Freya!!” I slammed hard at the steering wheel. I was so mad with fury, Freya had embarrassed me, and that wasn’t even as annoying as the fact that she officially broke up with me. I thought I was teaching her a lesson, I thought she needed to realize what was at stake. Me. Our relationship. The one she desperately wanted. That was why I didn’t bother to beg her when she asked me to move out of the room, and then the house. We had been living together for over two years and I know how hooked she was on me. Her whole life revolves around me, so I was sure it was only a matter of time before she comes crawling back, begging me to take her back. “Does she really have proof that I’m cheating?” I thought to my
