ELARA’S POV The drive to the site is quiet, no music, no calls. Just the hum of the engine and the slow, sharp creep of the headache pulsing behind my eyes. “You’re late,” Kyle greets me the second I step inside, his usual frown in place. “Again.” I almost smile.
