Paige's POV"He can go home now, but he needs to be under close watch at all times, also his bandages need to be changed after every two days to avoid getting his wounds infected" The doctor instructed signing some documents before handing them over to me,"Thank you" I appreciated getting up to leave,"You don't need to thank me it's my work, ensure to give him his drugs at the right time," he answered,"I will, Doctor" I said with a grateful smile,"I will send a nurse to check on him occasionally" he said,"I will really appreciate that" I said gratefully,"You can go now" he dismissed, and I grabbed my purse and left, heading back to Alex's ward where Grace was getting him ready to leave,"Ready?" I asked as I walked in,"He was trying to throw a little tantrum when he woke up and didn't see you, but he is good now, he slept back after a while" she answered, getting up from the chair she was sitting on,"Thank you very much, I hope he wasn't much of a bother?" I asked, walking ove

Paige's POVWe got to his house and as expected, he didn't disappoint, there was a fountain at the middle of the side garden that the night stars accented very well, the building is definitely a duplex but looks like a massive bungalow from afar, the flowers at the side added to the beauty of the whole environment, someone could spend a whole evening out here and not feel it,"Is it to your taste, my lady?" he asked when he realized how I kept looking around using a fake British accent I would have found funny if we were in a better situation,"That doesn't really matter, I wouldn't be here for long remember" I answered, although I am sure it is clearly written in my face that I really love the environment but until I see the interior I can't decide,"You wouldn't be here for long doesn't mean you won't be happy and comfortable here" he said with a little shrug before ushering me forward, I made sure Alex was comfortable on me before

Paige's POV"I am so sorry, Mum, I didn't mean to leave like that, I was just so scared of disappointing you and reliving the same thing that Dad did to you, it was the only thing that came to mind" I cried out on her body letting the pains from all these years out,"I understand my darling, but I truly wish you talked to me instead, I know I would have been angry and disappointed but not to the extent of wanting you out" she said letting her pain show through her voice as a stray tear fell from her left eye, it made my heart constrict as I thought of all the pain I must have caused her,"I know, I always knew about that fact, and it just made everything so much worse. The thought that you would still want me after everything, I wanted to punish myself forgetting I was punishing you in the process, I am so sorry, Mum" I cried out feeling the burden of leaving her all these years slowly wash away,"Please don't ever leave me again, no matter what" she said now staring deep into my eyes

Jace's POV"Those girls are definitely going to turn your house into one of the girly dens" Brandon joked walking into my office,"Anything to keep Paige in my home" I quickly answered,"You are so whipped" he said, making me chuckle,"Says the head over heels one, sure" I threw at him,"At least she actually knows that I am in love with her" he attacked,"That wasn't necessary" I said, trying my best not to pick offense over that,"But it's the plain truth, Paige actually thinks you are around her because of Alex" he stated,"Who told you so, we both know that's not true, I have always wanted her" I defended,"Your actions six years ago really didn't show that remember" he reminded,"I know that, and I am trying to fix that" I stated,"How exactly?.by sleeping around with Catherine that already has another child for you that Paige doesn't even know about?" He bit back, stating facts and I don't like it one bit,"Can you just stop already, that night was a mistake, okay" I argued tryi

Paige's POV"My father's sister?" I repeated confused,"Did he know ?" Grace asked,"Yes, he did" Mum answered, a kind of sadness in her eyes,"Oh my, I am sorry, how did I even miss this" Grace exclaimed suddenly pulling me into a tight hug,"Did he know what?" I asked, staring at the both of them confused,"Come and sit my child" Mum asked patting right beside where she was seated on the couch,"Did you ever try coming back?" Grace asked also taking a seat next to her,"I didn't find a reason to, he made himself very clear" Mum answered sadly,"Someone should please talk to me" I pushed on,"You know I never told you the whole story, I just couldn't bring myself to tell you without that pain in my heart even after so many years" Mum said taking in a deep breath,"I understand" I replied softly,"I met your father on one of his numerous business trips, I worked in my mother's bakery then" she started staring straight ahead,"I was sent to get the orders from the new customers and you

Paige's POVThe tension in the house over the past few days has been so thick I was starting to get really uncomfortable with it. Jace hasn't let me out of his sight since the incidence, and I am starting to get irritated with all of it, he hasn't even gone to work since then, he just claims he can handle everything from the house and anything that needs urgent attention Jay will handle it, I can see the stress he is going to through, but he has decided not to rest."Grace is here" Jace informed me from the door of my bedroom,"Okay thank you, I will be down shortly" I replied ignoring the tired look on his face, since he has decided to stress himself I will not bother myself,"No problem" he said, shutting the door quietly before leaving.~~~~~~~~~"How have you been?" Grace asked, I walked over to where she sat with Alex hot on my tail,"I have been better" I replied with a sigh taking a seat beside her as Alex sat on her laps,"Don't worry, everything will be okay" she soothed pull

Paige's POV"The doctor said she would be discharged by the weekend"Grayson informed me as we walked down to the car park,"That is good news, I would come to the house by next week to see how she is faring" I replied, a bright smile on my face from the good news,"I would really appreciate that, you can come with my little boy you never told me about" Grayson joked, making me look at him surprised,"Sometimes I wonder how you were able to keep him away for so long, if the kids don't talk a lot, I may probably still be in the dark until date" he continued, making me laugh a little, ignoring the look on Jace's face as we conversed,"So you knew before that day?" I asked, not really shocked,"Yup but I would rather not steal your thunder" he joked making me chuckle,"I would bring him along, he should be much better by then" I concluded,"Beautiful, now come here" he requested, pulling me in for a hug, placing a kiss on my forehead then two others on my both cheeks,"I'll call" I promis

Jace's POVPaige has not been herself since the day I woke her up from the bad dream she had, she won't tell anyone what the dream was about, but she wouldn't stop crying,"Dinner is ready, are you coming down or should I send your food up for you?" I asked from her door watching her emotionless face as she stared blankly at the wall the same position she had been since morning, the same routine since that dream, cry, sleep and stare, everyone is getting worried,"I am not hungry" she replied not taking her eyes off the wall like she is waiting for someone to come out from it,"You have to eat something" I pushed on,"I will later" she replied faintly, I could see the tears in her eyes just waiting to be let out, why can't she just talk to someone,"Paige, please stop doing this yourself, talk to me or talk to Lisa or better still talk to your mum, please just talk to someone at least, you are going to fall sick at this rate" I said softly slowly walking into the room, she turned to st

Paige's POVI cannot continue like this, I have to get to the bottom of this, everything in me knows this is more than a dream,"Mummy" Alex called out walking into my room,"Are you okay?" I questioned turning to face him,"I am fine" he answered laying beside me and burying his face in my neck,"Are you sure?" I asked again, he had this look that I couldn't exactly ignore,"Something is off" he finally blurted after a moment of silence,"What do you mean?" I asked pulling him closer," I keep having this weird dream, maybe it's just me" he replied sounding tired,"Talk to mummy" I pressed on,"I keep seeing another me" he answered shocking me,"Another you" I muttered more to myself than to him, I knew it was more than a dream, something was not adding up.~~~~~~~~~"Paige, Paige, Paige" Jace called out with so much urgency in his voice I actually got scared,"In here" I replied from Alex's room where I was able to put him to sleep,"Someone is here to see you," he said as he walked

Paige's POV"What does that even mean?" Lisa asked this time around like she read my mind,"The twins turn seven this year right?" he asked although it seemed like he already had his answer,"Yes, why?" I answered skeptically ignoring the sudden fear that gripped me,"The person who contracted me six years ago reached out to me last night, he wants him dead at all cost" he said as my insides dropped at the thought,"Are you trying to say my grandchild is going to be murdered?" Mum asked in horror,"Yes ma'am" he answered staring at the ground like it could open up and swallow him,"What do you mean by the person who contracted you six years ago?" I asked his words replaying in my head, nothing seemed to be making sense right now, nothing seemed to be adding up and I didn't like it one bit,"I know I don't deserve any forgiveness of any kind but I am willing to work for it, anything at all I would do to make it up" he answered getting me angrier,"I would advise you to drop this forgiv
