Lahat ng Kabanata ng Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win: Kabanata 161 - Kabanata 170

Cassian’s point of viewShe’s alive. She is safe. That’s all that matters. Lucius will take the throne, and I am sure he will do everything he can to protect her. That is the only outcome I will allow.“No. You can’t die… Cass…” she cried, her arms feeling like home. It is so warm and safe.“Don’t cry over me, Kat.” I lifted my hand, trying to wipe her tears, but she whimpered even more.“You were the rarest ray of sunshine in my life, Katrina,” I whisper, and she shakes her head, pressing hard on my wound. My heart was pounding hard, and then suddenly it slowed down. I find myself gasping for air, but she holds tight to me.“You will live. Do you understand? You must live, Cass!” She calls me the name she always called me, bringing a smile to my face.“I got him. You need to let him go now, Kitten,” Lucius’s voice comes, and he pulls her away from her.Kitten?I almost want to laugh at the nickname that she almost ripped out my tongue for calling her when we were kids.“Kat,” I whisp

Katrina’s point of viewCassian loves me? That’s something I didn’t think I would be hearing after he almost died.I was hoping to thank him, but here he was confessing his feelings to me. I smile weakly at him, helping him back to his bed.“I’m fine, Kat. You don’t need to do this.” He protests.I decided I would act like I couldn’t hear him. He almost died. Because of me.‘You don’t have to do this to yourself. He told you why you did it’ Sage echoes, but I can’t help feeling like I might have done something wrong.‘I know. But we need to make sure he is fine,’ I insist.‘And the Alpha Prince? We both know the only reason his not storming in this room to take us out of here is because he believes the Alpha King is sick,’ Sage reminded me while I helped Cassian back to the bed.‘I know. We are leaving soon’ I say. My eyes are still on Cassian, who lies back on the bed as I pull the blanket to cover him.“Can I ask you something?” He asks me as I smile weakly at him, nodding my head.

Katrina’s Point of ViewLucius’s hand was firm and reassuring as he took mine, leading the way out of the corridors. The warmth of his touch provided a sense of security and comfort.“You.” He pointed to one maid who was walking towards the ballroom.“Your slippers,” he orders as I gasp, turning to him“Lucius. I am fine, you don’t have to. I’m sorry,” I say, the last part meant for the maid who bows her head, taking off her slippers.“Lucius, please. I can walk like this. I just need to get to—”“Fine. If you can’t take the slippers, then I’m carrying you,” he chimes in, but before I can even protest, he scoops me up in his arms, bridal style, and starts walking towards the door.“Lucius. I can—”“Stay like this. I need to feel you close to me,” he whispers, his eyes looking ahead, not even bothering to look at me.“I might have Cassian’s Scent,” I say to himHe just nods. He doesn’t say anything, but just keeps walking.I wrap my arms around his neck as he continues to walk. I smile

Katrina’s Point of View“When my father decided to build these cells, some years back. He asked me for suggestions, so I told him to have a way to block the cells from opening the door from the outside. Create something like a failsafe. When under attack, you can use it as a bunker, and he was excited,” I said while walking towards him.“Do you know what death does to someone?” I ask him, taking out my blade from my thigh in its sheath. He doesn’t respond, so I continue, “To others, it makes them look at life differently. They might want to change but for others. It just numbs them,” I say, making my way closer to him, and he swallows hard.“I didn’t realize how numb it made me until I lost my friend a few months ago. She was the only family I had left because someone decided to betray us. I lost her. Just like my family and Pack.” I say, holding my blade by its hilt, and he smiles.“I hate inflicting pain, but when necessary, I must do it. And lately, I have this urge to hurt someone

Katrina’s Point Of View“Excuse me. I have a report to write,” I say, wanting to walk past him, but he grabs me by my arm.“The report can wait. Can we—”“No!” My voice comes out harsher than I had intended for it to. He takes a step towards me, but I move away. “No. I killed someone while working. Please excuse me,” I say to him, about to turn to leave, but he quickly grabs my hand, making. His grip on my arm was firm, his fingers digging into my skin with a desperate intensity.“Let me explain. Please,” he pleadingly says as I chuckle, shaking my head.“So, you can lie to me again? I don’t think so” With that, I yank my hand from his hand and make my way to the briefing room. I need to file a report about the death then head home.“Kat, wait. Just give me a minute to explain everything,” he insists, following me behind as I turn to face him, a weak smile on my face.“I will not listen to any more lies. Please, just let me work.”“I wasn’t lying!”“But you forgot to men
