Katrina’s point of viewPicking up my blades, I make my way out of the bedroom. Making sure Sage is alert. I step out of the bedroom, holding the blade. As soon as the door opens. I make my way towards the living room.“What the hell are you doing?” I ask the rogue, who is digging his claws into Taylor’s chest. My blades are ready to kill whoever attacks me.“Make a move and he dies,” the wolf threatens, and the five men he came with all growl in agreement.“Go on. But if he dies. I will kill each one of you and hunt down any family you have,” I growl, and the wolf laughs. He thinks I am joking.“Funny you say that. Considering you are outnumbered,” he smiles.“Outnumbered? Then you must not know who I am,” I growl as he straightens his shoulders, staring into my eyes.“I know who you are, Katrina Snow.” He deadpanned“Try it. You will find out my answer,” I say to him, my gaze on him, waiting for him to make a move. Instead, he pulls out his claws from Taylor’s chest and lets him fal

Katrina’s point of viewThe first thing I do when I am up is leave Bray in my room and as always, Shannon already has my breakfast ready, and Willow is coming towards me with the tablet ready to update me on things back home.Tyler thought it was best that he updated me on everything about the pack in readiness for me to go back in a couple of weeks.Once the marriage passes, I head back to my pack. I was tired of this fucking capital. It’s only now that I realize why my father always hated coming here.“I drew your bath. And I was hoping you would—”“I am good. Already took a shower” I say, sitting down to try the waffles she made this morning. The aromatic smell of coffee fills the kitchen as freshly baked cinnamon rolls. “Good morning,” Bray growls, coming into the kitchen while rubbing his eyes as he comes from my room. The two omegas swap looks, but they try not to make it noticeable. I smile, bringing the cup to my lips.“Your bed is so comfortable,” he says, pouring himself a c

Lucius’s point of view“You are late. Should we—” Alpha Dante is the one wanting to scold me, and I scoff, plopping down in my chair.“Save your energy. I had important things to do in the east wing. Not that I should explain myself to you,” I growl, and Cassian watches me.‘How is she?’ he links to me, his voice sounding tired.‘Well, not the best. You should go to see her sometimes.’ I say to him, and he doesn’t reply instead his gaze goes to Katrina.‘She misses you’‘She is a lost cause,’ He deadpans. I know he doesn’t believe that because he would have given up on her.‘What she did was wrong. You should forgive her for—’‘No. She left me when I needed her. I am never visiting her,’ he says, and with that, he cuts me off.Sometimes I forget that Nana is the reason Cassian doesn’t smile anymore, or why he is as cold and arrogant as he is.“Now that we are here. I received word this morning. The wedding has been pushed up. Our enemies are growing stronger every day, so the rogue ki

Katrina’s point of view“Fuck! Fuck!” I growled, kicking the tires of the car that Willow hired for me to use while she organized the purchase of a new one.‘Deep breaths, Kat. Deep breaths’ Sage encouraged, but I couldn’t do it. It was suddenly getting hard to breathe.Lucius has been lying to me. Xavier divorced me. My brother was lying to his family. My father might also be part of the reason there’s a war.Why do all the men in my life do this? I blink back my tears, leaning against the car.‘It’s not your fault,’ Sage echoes.‘Are you sure? I feel like the one writing my life hates me,’ I retort, blinking back the tears threatening to fall.My brother’s betrayal hits like a knife in my chest. How could he do this to me? What was he hoping to achieve?“For someone who is a leader. Crying there doesn’t seem like a superb feat,” Martin’s voice comes behind me as I close my eyes.‘I don’t have time for you, Martin,” I say, turning around to open the door, but he hands me a handkerchi

Katrina’s point of view“You need to leave,” he says to me, and I shake my head, going to him. “I will stay and reason with them.”“Cute Kit Kat. But no.”“Please. I am a deputy commander. I can reason with them and explain why you came to me,” I say to him, placing a hand on his chest. His heart is pounding so hard against his chest.“No. You will not. If they found you here, the only thing they would conclude is that you are conspiring with us. Why do you think history labels your pack as power-hungry?” he asks me as I stare at him. His men are mobilizing themselves, ready for a fight.“Don’t fight. Let them take you. You will not lose any lives,” I say to him, and he shakes his head.“I am not going down without a fight. We came in without an official invitation. Do you know what that means?” he asks me as I inhale sharply.“I know what it fucking means, Aidan. Fight and you lose some of your men. Just Surrender. Lucius is not the kind of person to attack without reason,” I try to
