Emily's POV Lucas’ face lost all colour and I literally saw the blood drain out. He looked like he was hoping for the best, at the same time mentally preparing for the worst that could happen. “What are they saying?” He asked, eyes wide open. “Can’t we make the transfer?” “You might need a seat.” I said instead. I barely was processing anything, myself. “No I don't!” Lucas yelled. “Those are people I love, and you're gonna tell me what is going on.” “Please don't yell at me.” I broke down. “I'm not strong enough for all this.” Within me, it felt as if every muscle was being stripped apart, exposing the weaker, more vulnerable side of me. “I'm sorry love.” Lucas came closer, still breathing heavily, still expecting what I was gonna say. “They're gone. All three of them. She asked if we wanted the bodies.” I broke the news. “How?!” He asked, his light green eyes were already misty and flooding. I can't be here anymore. “I've gotta go.” I said out of the blues.
