Aurora’s POV “What did he say about your report?” I asked Travis dryly. “You seem jealous of something, my Queen; what is it?” Travis questioned when I sighed for the hundredth time this evening. I wasn’t jealous, I was lowkey angry that I was asked to walk Grandma while Diana was asked to the Lycan room, “What’s the Lycan doing?” “The Lycan is resting,” Travis pointed at Tristan’s balcony. “Who is in this room now?” I questioned, and Travis gave me a weird look, “I mean, did he send for anybody?” I turned to Travis when he didn’t reply to me, “My lady, you should go straight to the point; beating around the bush doesn’t suit you.” I bit my lips in embarrassment, “Why did the Lycan send for Diana?” “Tristan did?” Travis seemed confused, “I’m not aware of that, the only person who he agreed to meet was his mother.” A small smile made its way to my face. That sly shape shifting snake, was she trying to make me jealous or something? “Never mind,” My smile widened, “You can g

Aurora’s POV “My lady,“ Elena called when she opened my room door, “Are you okay?”“I said I didn’t want to see anyone,” I replied disheartened.“I’m not just anyone,” Elena sat by my side, “I see, your thing has already been moved,” Elena said as she looked around my empty room.Tristan had moved everything to the north wing despite I said I didn’t feel like doing it anymore, “Are you angry?” I paused what I was doing and turned to face Elena, “Wouldn’t you be angry if your mother-in-law cursed your child before it was born?” “I understand how you feel, but that doesn’t mean you should shut everyone out; you have been in here since last night; even the Lycan is worried about you,” Elena spoke softly, “He defended you in front of his mother.”“Elena, I know she doesn’t like me but can’t she pretend for the sake of her son’s unborn child?” I hissed, “I hate her; why was she so angry, as if she was expecting something to be the mother of his first child.”Elena touched my hair gently

Aurora’s POV “Are you asking me this again?” I turned to face her. She was up with her nonsense again.“I just wanted to know how much you trusted Tristan,” Ava crossed her hands on her chest with a smirk plastered on her face.I walked closer to her, “I trust Tristan more than I trust my own self.”Ava snorted, “No hesitation? That’s funny, you shouldn’t trust people too much but that’s okay, keep it up.”“What exactly do you want to say?” I would have felt Ava was just trying to cause some confusion, as usual, but what happened at the dining table told me otherwise.“Nothing, take care of yourself,” My hands instinctively wrapped around my tummy when Ava’s eyes fell on it.“Do you agree with what mother said?” Ava removed her eyes from my tummy and looked me in the eyes.“With what?” Ava questioned, “Oh, that she doesn’t want you to bear the heir?” Ava answered her own question before I could, “I don’t think you want to know my own answer.”I guess I knew her own answer; she would

Aurora’s POV I couldn’t ask Tristan because of the situation at home and even if I did ask him about Skylar, I don’t know how he might react.“Skylar’s only mistake was falling in love with the Lycan, a witch, and a wolf can never be together, they both knew and were willing to risk it all, they even wanted to run away, Odessa wasn’t in support of it, she would rather die than see her child suffer, Odessa pleaded with Skylar not to run away, she even begged the Queen then to stop them,” The right state council let out a deep breath, “The Queen promised to set everything right and she did in her own way” The right state council scoffed, “Everyone believed that it was the Queen mother who killed Skylar but it was actually the Queen.”“What are you saying? Do you mean Grandma didn’t kill Skylar?” I questioned, “Was it the Queen who killed Skylar?” The right state council nodded his head, “Why didn’t mother want them to be together? And why did the Queen mother forbid the name if she

Aurora’s POVI could hear my heart beat against my rig cage uncontrollably. I froze at the spot; I didn’t even know what to do at that moment. I didn’t even know if Ava had seen me or not, but as for Tristan, I didn’t understand. Did he hear or see me? What’s going on?I hurriedly stood up from the bed, “I should go drink the tea the physician sent.”“I wanted to ask what color of dress you like,” From the look Ava gave me, it was obvious she didn’t suspect or see anything.“Why… why…” I paused, took a deep breath, and managed to maintain my composure, “Why do you need the color of the dress I like?”“I had asked the modiste to come and take all the measurements of the ladies in the family and make nice dresses for them,” Tristan explained from behind me.I nodded my head to Tristan’s explanation and I was also wondering why he hadn’t asked any questions yet.“Just pick any color, I will wear anything,” I replied without even thinking.A small smug smile danced on Ava’s lips, “You s
