Lahat ng Kabanata ng Chasing The Moon: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

EmShe stood there and stared a moment, her eyes surely deceiving her. There on the bed in that particular room was Quinn. But not alone. He was with some girl. Naked. Em felt a little sick in that moment but she couldn’t move either. The girl said “can you get out and shut the fucking door?” And Em remembered how to control her legs. She turned around and started back down the stairs while Aspen was still standing at the door staring. A second later she was right behind Em. She heard Quinn yelling at her, but she didn’t stop. She couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Em didn’t stop walking until she reached her car. She didn’t even look to see if Aspen was behind her, she knew she was. She got out her keys to unlock the door but Aspen grabbed them. “Let me drive.” She said They didn’t speak for a few minutes. Em feeling very very stupid. And very angry. She was sad, but that emotion was covered up from all the other ones she was having at the moment. Aspen looke

EmEm had been doing her best to avoid Quinn that whole week at school. And she had done a pretty good job. But she started feeling ridiculous about the whole thing. Why was she acting like a jealous girlfriend? They’d never said anything remotely about the status of their relationship. Still. She felt something that night they’d bared their souls to each other. And she could’ve sworn he did too. And the whole motorcycle trip? What was that about? And what he had said to her as they were leaving?Ughhh. Em hated this confusion. She had noticed Asher was still keeping his distance from Quinn a little too. Once she had that realization— she fully decided to go find Quinn and talk to him. She was NOT going to come between those two again. She had started looking for him, but then… she stopped. No sooner had she found Quinn did she see Finley standing there with him. It looked like he was whispering something to her. Em had a small swift sickening moment when she turned and loo

QuinnThe talk he had with Finley went better than he had hoped. Instead of her yelling and acting like a brat — which had become her every day attitude lately~~ she was actually pretty mature and apologetic about it all. When she had asked him that question… when had he stopped loving her and started loving Em … he had to think about that for a while. He didn’t love ‘Em. Did he?? No. He liked her. A lot. He wanted to protect her, and the thought of anyone hurting her made him murderous with rage. She was an outsider, which he had let slide.. a first for him. He told her his entire story.. another first. And he had started looking at his relationship with his dad in a new light because of their discussion. But love? He didn’t do love. Not really. He hadn’t even kissed the girl. This was ridiculous. He had sat and thought about all this after Finely had asked him the question. And he turned to look at her to refute it, but the words never came. “You don’t need to try and deny

QuinnWhat did she mean just be friends?? Hell no, he wasn’t letting her get away that easy. He was becoming addicted to her, in all the right ways. Something about her made him want to do better, to be better. He had known from the first time he laid eyes on her, that one day she would have his heart. He knew it, deep down. Maybe that’s why he tried so hard to run her off. Once he grabbed her, he saw a moment of hesitation in her eyes. He knew that might have scared her a little, because of what she went through, but he knew she wouldn’t break. And he wanted her to get over her fear, not sit in it. He would show her the way she was meant to be treated, and touched. He looked at her then, in her moon eyes, and the fear had already left. He reached up and tucked some stray hair behind her ear. “Your eyes are just like the moon.” He heard himself say. She smiled and tilted her head a little at that. Probably wondering what he was going on about… but surely she had heard th

EmThe next few weeks were glorious. She and the girls hung out as much as possible, but Em stayed busy. She had school and work and practice nearly every day. On Fridays there were football games, the girls went to as many as they could to watch the boys. Quinn was staying busy too. He had football practice after school, and he spent alot of time working out and practicing his fighting skills. He had started riding his dirt bike more often, and he brought Em on a couple more motorcycle rides. They spent as much time together as they could but as they were both busy it was always fleeting. They’d had a few more kisses…. Every one of them pushing them both closer to insanity with need. They hung out at school some, they’d all started eating lunch together. But they didn’t make a big deal out of it….. partially because of Finley and partially because the whole entire school would talk if everyone knew. Em didn’t want more rumors to start. She wanted to keep this in her little bubb
