JOSH POV The smoke of the campfire surrounds me again. I can’t see where I am or where I’m going, but I am completely unbothered by that fact as I’m walking. Where am I going? I have no idea, but my body seems to know exactly where I need to be, and I just let my feet lead me. I smell it, all around me, behind the burn of the wood; the now familiar scent of trees and earth, and the humidity of expected rain. The smells are a comfort for me, now that I have Eternity. Being outdoors is like coming home. However, I don’t know why I’m outside right now. Last I remember, I was in bed, snuggled up naked with my mate. And lets be honest, I’d rather be there with her than out here alone. I hear the faint, sweet notes of a flute steadily playing a slow melancholy tune in the background.
